@GribbleRC @John_R_Bruce @CollierMiller1 @redekopmfg We have same problem this year with green. Might see if they can duplicate one for us 👌. Good work Rod.
English

@John_R_Bruce @CollierMiller1 @redekopmfg Ah yes ….. “not enough” is correct.
About 20,000 tonne of grain - so about the same straw/chaff.
It wore through at the very front - which is unusual.
English

Thanks @CollierMiller1 for making a new chopper floor in quick time.
Fits like a bought one! #Hardox @redekopmfg

@ludeydookie We had one last year, unfortunately last year want the best test as canola harvesting conditions were near ideal. Hoping it’s going to make the difference when conditions get tough.

@grassrootsag @david_elwin @seed_terminator @WeedSmartAU @brendanw59 @peterdnewman David the biggest cost is going to be loss of machine efficiency, that number varies greatly depending on crop type and conditions.
English

@david_elwin @seed_terminator @WeedSmartAU As stated by @brendanw59 cost $/ha primarily influenced by fuel, mill wear & loss of capacity. A spreadsheet by @peterdnewman shows an avg of $20/ha but in a big year like 2020 it was out to $60/ha. Long term numbers still unknown for this area.
English

Excellent comparison where 2 headers were working in the same paddock last harvest. One header with a @seed_terminator the other running chaff decks. Grower has been running chaff decks for 6 years.
Huge reduction in ryegrass after only 1 year with an impact mill @WeedSmartAU

@david_elwin @agrobaz @peterdnewman @cjcontracting1 @grassrootsag @seed_terminator @WeedSmartAU @brendanw59 Small experience in this space last year, I thought it would be the ideal combo, found Mill was working just as hard with stripper as Draper. Lots of fine material with stripper still on the shoe.

@ShaunBourchier Or you can buy the macdon lagging and put on yourself

Has anyone put a receiver on a drag bucket for igrade? Thinking of using it to keep tail drains level. @desertr55

@Woodleafarms @Biztang There is about 50-70 L we can’t suck out, once we get 5-10 of these we use the forklift to decant into one shuttle.
South Australia, Australia 🇦🇺 English

@Woodleafarms @Biztang You mean the last bit out the shuttle, or the lines?
English

@RobinMSchaefer @Biztang Thanks for sharing Robin, sucking from the top is a Gr8 idea and safe. how do you get the last bit out and clean?
English

@Biztang This is our setup Biz. We still have sprayer running, but very quick fill. We suck from the top of the shuttles so zero spill & also have a shuttle of water connected to the manafold & also to a T on the top of each shuttle, so all lines can be flushed.

@chrisminehan 👍 like safflowers 🌻. Still learning plenty! Seem to have flowered late for an early plant 🤔.
English

@hughdrussell @wallaloopark Progressing well thx, no yields like the golden triangle of the Wimmera though 😉.
English
