Karpathy just published an AI job exposure map for 342 occupations It scored 0–10 by an LLM, visualized as a treemap where: - size = employment volume - color = exposure level i) Safest (low exposure, 0–3): Jobs with irreducible physical presence. Roofers, janitors, construction laborers, plumbers, electricians, groundskeepers. You can’t reroof a house from behind a computer, so that’s the entire point of Karpathy’s scoring rubric Nurses and home health aides sit in the 2–4 range despite being partially digitizable. The physical caregiving component anchors them. Same logic applies to dental hygienists, surgical techs, and EMTs ii) Least safe (high exposure, 8–10): Medical transcriptionists top out at 10. Pure digital input, pure digital output, zero physical component. Software developers, data analysts, paralegals, and financial analysts cluster at 8–9. Accountants land squarely in this zone too iii) The ‘uncomfortable middle’ grey area is where it gets interesting. Secretaries, general office clerks, customer service reps, and cashiers are large employment blocks sitting at 5–7. These are the roles where AI potentially replaces some headcount; one person with AI tooling does what three did before iv) The key takeaway from the visualization: the biggest rectangles (highest employment) tend to sit in the moderate-to-high exposure range The safest jobs are physically demanding but employ fewer people in aggregate Food for thought if you’re thinking about reskilling to future proof your income - although once robots become more capable even some of the more manual tasks may be at risk Perhaps plumbers will soon have their “LeBron James” of pipe laying But even then if everyone retrains to become a plumber, won’t it become crowded too?
Josh Kale@JoshKale

Andrej Karpathy just dropped a project scoring every job in America on how likely an AI will replace it from 0-10 > Scraped all 342 occupations from the Bureau of Labor > Fed each one to an LLM with a detailed scoring rubric > Built an interactive treemap where rectangle size = number of jobs and color = how exposed that job is to AI The key signal in his scoring: if the work product is fundamentally digital and the job can be done entirely from a home office, exposure is inherently high. The scale: 0-1: Roofers, janitors 4-5: Nurses, retail, physicians 8-9: Software devs, paralegals, data analysts 10: Medical transcriptionists Average across all 342 occupations: 5.3/10. The entire pipeline is open source. BLS scraping, LLM scoring, the visualization. All of it. Much respect for the sensei this is scary and awesome

Sell them 'decentralized freedom money'. They buy in ? Good. Now put KYC on everything. They comply ? Good. Now introduce privacy.

There are making organoid intelligence, by creating 3D brains from human stem cells that features neuronal network, synaptic connections and neuroplasticity. It's frightening but the results are excellent. Imo, they will just plug biological human neurons to AI systems in the future.
Tuki@TukiFromKL

🚨Nobody wants to hear this but it needs to be said. > Scientists put human brain cells in a petri dish. No body. Just neurons on a chip. > It learned to play DOOM in under a week. > 800,000 neurons figured out how to navigate, shoot, and survive a video game without ever being alive. your brain has 86 BILLION neurons and you can't even finish a side project. we're being outperformed by lab equipment. Wrap it up.

@Plaposaur I guess there were 2 markets, one that is about Jesus Christ coming before the December 2026 and the other one that you mentioned, I didn't see it on poly, sheesh

The most interesting opportunities right now are hiding in the most absurd places Take Polymarket for example - the more obscure and niche the bet, the more interesting the opportunity becomes There’s an ongoing market on whether Jesus Christ would return before GTA 6, which sounds ludacris but when you actually read into what the bet is, the market closes in July, so its really whether GTA ships by then. If it doesn’t, the market resolves 50:50. This release day has already been pushed back passed July. People who understood that ran the Resurrection up from 20% to 50% - you're risking 1% on the downside for a significantly larger upside if you read it correctly Pay attention and you'll find an edge in the weirdest places.

Anthropic is lying. The @DeptofWar doesn’t do mass surveillance as that is already illegal. What we are talking about is allowing our warfighters to use AI without having to call @DarioAmodei for permission to shoot down an enemy drone swarms that would kill Americans. #CallDario

Wait, so the founder of Anthropic is "Amodei," as in "loves god"? And he leads Anthropic, meaning "human-centered," which is being used in military strikes? And the creator of ChatGPT is "Altman," as in "an alternative to humans"? And he leads OpenAI, which is completely closed? And then there's "Gemini," meaning "two-faced," from a company that promised to do no evil? And the whole global AI arms race is being driven by people who claimed to be worried about AGI taking over the world? Either the universe is an extremely cliché writer, or has a brilliant sense of humor

Just a thought for this night. Most people I know who reached financial freedom just stopped and choose to not chase anything else. I remember saying "if I had X amount I'd do Y" but once you get there you forget that step was supposed to be the starting line of something bigger. Not the end. We all had that bigger dream. We just got comfortable before we got to it. Maybe that's why we always found villains more interesting, their plans sit on a hundred low probability events, and when one works ten more come to stop them. That constant risk, that adrenaline of never being done, I guess that's the thing we actually want, we just pretend the goal is to rest.
