NEW: China launches its first humanoid robot soccer league in Beijing.
This is way more entertaining than regular soccer.
The AI-controlled robots were supplied by Booster Robotics for the tournament and have the skills of 5 to 6 year old children.
Robots were seen getting carried off the field on stretchers after falling over.
Booster Robotics founder Cheng Hao says the robots' abilities will exponentially increase over time and will eventually challenge adult teams.
"We chose the football scenario for robot competition primarily for two reasons: first, to encourage students to apply their algorithmic skills to real-world robotics," Cheng said.
"Second, to showcase the robots' ability to walk autonomously and stably, withstand collisions, and demonstrate higher levels of intelligence and safety."
Take care! Heatwave! The news is going mad about this, some of us are old enough to remember the 35.9°C high during the summer of ‘76. Note to news editors…………..we survived 🌞😎
@NathanAMeeks@TeslaTopics@kirawontmiss Thats not true, usa food is now more expensive, you get more organic and cheaper in japan but depends if you want wagyu
You also pay 3x more in Japan for a lot smaller quantity. Restaurant's in the US have paper thin margins, are highly cyclical and have more months in the red than the green.
Culture is different in all countries. Asians/Europeans/wealthy exchange students not tipping in California made life very difficult. It can cost relationships and ultimately bankruptcy for restaurant's. Unhappy staff makes unhappy customers which makes everything go away. Americans tip in Asian restaurants in the US. Why should Asians/Europeans not tip in the US?
