can’t believe how good this show was in the beginning. a scene like this never would’ve been in the last few seasons

They really had the perfect ending right here and still dragged the show for two more seasons.

I'm pretty casual when it comes to media, will watch almost any slop you put on my screen, but even I'm disgusted at how bad the writing was in the final season and final episode especially. The power scaling was inconsistent and the jokes were atrocious too. What a mess.

Ham-handed politics aside, this is terrible writing. A weak, sniveling villain only cheapens the hero’s victory. An intelligent audience does not want this. Or course, this was not written for an intelligent audience.

I think a lot of people need to come to terms with the reality that this show was deliberately driven into the ground because it became too popular with the "wrong types" of people in the eyes of the show runners. Be it The Man in the High Castle Be it Joker Be it Civil War Be it The Boys Any show/movie that has the interest of young, right-wing men will inevitably be driven into the ground due to hatred from its own creator over the audience enjoying it.

Homelander can move to space and back in the span of 2 seconds to kill a rich douchebag but can't fly out of a room fast enough to avoid losing all his powers in desperation? This shit fucking SUCKED

Issues I personally had with #TheBoys Series finale • The overuse of S*xual jokes/dialogue • Felt like the budget was a major issue • 2nd half of the episode felt rushed in some parts • Dismissing characters so easily (Sage, Gen V)

Prime built one of the greatest shows ever just to destroy it themselves in the final run!

Homelander being turned into an immortal in episode 6 and then being killed 2 episodes later is a bad writing lmao. The V1 Arc should have been done in S4 with no implications that the virus can't work on it and let that be one of the twists. Horrible final season. #TheBoys

So the good leak for The Boys wasn’t true and we got an anticlimactic final fight that reeks of budget cuts, gay emasculated homelander who basically did nothing but cook The Deep in the final episode of the series, and the bad ending for Butcher, fuck Eric Kripke garbage writing
