@AdriWindGB Personally, I anything beyond 64 never really hit as much, but I do want them to make an effort to craft a fresh story following the Lylat Wars, while reworking some of the newer characters like Krystal and Panther so they’re not as dull.

for a new Star Fox game I really think it needs to be a sequel to Assault, there's so much potential to be had with Krystal as the new addition to the team and it's a good opportunity to introduce a new character and give Star Wolf their fourth guy to balance things out

@WrenchMaster4 no the creator has stated they are boots so that is what they are. what the general public interprets does not matter when we are talking about objective fundamentals

@MelohRush you can interpret them as either or, it doesn't matter, the general public knows them as sneakers, he as even wore soap shoes, so i feel like, its fine for a speedy character to wear sneakers in an adaption
and his proportional changes aren't fundamentally changed

His arms being tan is still a fundamental of his design
his body is realistic. they literally stated this to be a main part of the design going into live action

@MelohRush 😭I'm not touching the Sneakers VS Boots bit.....
but his arms don't have to be tan anymore because he's no longer a 2D sprite and that type of readable isn't needed because of the higher fidelity, and his body isn't realistic he just as joints and a neck, kinda akin to bugs buny

@WrenchMaster4 No theres a lot about movie sonic that gets sonics design wrong
For instance his shoes being socks and sneakers instead of boots, the lack of tan arms for easier visual reading, his body having realistic proportions in the first place is a fundimental change. I could go on

@MelohRush No? there aren’t any fundamental changes. The main difference is the 2 eyes instead of the mono eye but it still keeps the same silhouette, plus proportion tweaks like shoulders, joints, and smaller hands and feet to make animating easier?

Modren sonic got proportional changes to work better in 3D and make animation easier

@MelohRush hmmm, but why is that the case? is it because he looks different from game sonic? thats like saying, "Modren Sonic doesn't look like sonic" because he as differences from classic sonic.

But its still not what Sonic is suppose to look like so I cant say its a better model for Sonic than the current game one

@MelohRush Idk, this honestly looks like a pretty sick adaptation of Sonic to me
Tyson Hesse absolutely cooked with that redesign.
Would I want Movie Sonic to look more his Game self? Of course. But what we got still captures Sonic's energy. How he acts, though… that’s a different story

@MelohRush I prefer game sonic as much as the next guy, but I’d be lying if I said Movie Sonic’s renders haven’t been miles ahead over the past decade in terms of pure fidelity and posing.

What's your thoughts on Sonic Frontiers: Definitive Edition? Any expectations?

@TennyUnderscore Yeah, the gameplay in Frontiers can feel pretty mindless. It’s a shame the parkour mechanics are so underutilized. Using the boost in an open environment doesn’t work nearly as well as it would if the game focused more on building momentum naturally via the terrain.

I’ve said this before but Sonic is at his best when he uses his environment to his advantage, some of the best intros in the series show this off.
Frontiers however gives us the most basic of platforming elements to work with (1/2)

The main challenge I can see here is just mapping out the locations of the collectibles in your head and being able to easily fling from one to the next. But the act of doing so isn’t interesting.
