@briar_rolfe Oh, the best piece of work advice I ever got from a manager: find a workplace whose values align with yours (if they don’t, there’s no point staying in the job hoping they’ll change, because they won’t). It’s been my guiding light for finding queer friendly work.
English

@briar_rolfe That workplaces can do gender affirmation plans like schools. (And might even have gender affirmation leave available.)
(I can’t help but do the “it gets better” thang.)
English

@briar_rolfe I think, besides just being your amazing self and embodying A Queer Future for them, letting them know that they have rights in the workplace just like they do at school… that some workplaces, like some schools, have pride groups. >

@DreadedJai I have read this complaint about it conflating POC & HIV from some First Nations folks here in so-called Australia (the designer apparently intends the black and brown stripes to represent people living with or unalived by HIV as well as POC) instagram.com/p/CW1NKSLBqaj/…

This perfectly articulates the fear, grief, and how much more disabling it is living with a chronic illness right now.

Earlier this year I had the pleasure of talking to @PriyaKunjan for 3CR Thursday Breakfast about having ME/CFS during this pandemic, and how it feels to hear long covid talked about as if it's a brand new thing. (I start around 12 minutes into the show) 3cr.org.au/thursday-break…

Thanks to @executivegoth I actually worked up the courage to re-attempt to change my title on my bank accounts to something gender neutral. (There have been several failed attempts = much trauma.) This time I went in holding onto confidence without ego and- success! Boom! 🎉

@HJB3996 @alisoncroggon Seconding this (and so glad your daughter is okay, but also so sorry and horrified that this happened!)
Found TAC easy to deal with for counselling $ after an accident where I wasn’t at fault (had already got checked at emergency but did have to make a police report to claim)
English

@alisoncroggon TAC cover includes counselling and any other associated medical costs due to the accident - you might have to report it to police first. Definitely worth reporting as this woman has committed a crime.

@ChrenKali If I still freelanced I’d put my hand up! Not editors per se but I highly recommend @WritingJordi and @JessHealyWalton for authenticity readers / consultants.

@JessHealyWalton 💗 sending much love to you all. Hope it is minimal and contained and you all feel supported and held in this scary space.

Periodic reminder when Morrison says states should have hospitals in order, he has refused to lift Cwth funding cap on hospitals all pandemic. It limits spending growth to 6.5%/yr. States begged for help pre-Omicron outbreak. He accused them of "shakedown politics". #auspol 1/2
