I’m still waiting for evidence that stablecoins compete with US bank deposits. Checking accounts didn’t become rare simply because money market funds were invented. Also, it’s not as if there aren’t savings accounts with higher rates than tbills already, but AmEx et al don’t magically have all the bank deposits

They have a point tho, if you see stablecoins as a narrow bank (bank that doesnt lend) and money flows from other banks to this, it would cause a credit crunch across the economy and slow it down
This is the reason why narrow banks are banned in the US

@jack_whitcomb_ Looking at irfs and figuring out why they respond like they do helps build intuitive knowledge of how these models work.
Classically at uni you would start with the most simple RBC model and then start adding things like Calvo vs Rotemberg, money etc.

Beginner question. On DEX, say hyperliquid, there is 0.01% borrow every 8 hours. What is this charged on? Is it notional trade less collateral?
