The remaining percentage will remain off due to load constraints. Restoration efforts will resume once the load subsides. Ridge Rd SWS: Ongoing outage affecting Honeydew, Laser Park and surrounding areas. 44% of power supply has been restored. Repair efforts are delayed due to load constraints. Our team is currently patrolling between switching stations to monitor the situation and manage the load. We will keep the affected customers updated as and when new information becomes available. A heartbreaking incident occurred in Diepkloof, Johannesburg, where 10-year-old Sfiso Vilakazi lost his life after being attacked by a snake while swimming in a river under a bridge. Sfiso was swimming with his friends when a snake wrapped itself around him, crushing him with force. His friends saw the water turn red as he screamed, and they ran away in fear. One friend later gathered courage and returned to check on him. He found Sfiso being pinned down by the snake, crying for help. The brave boy jumped in and pulled his friend away while the snake dragged Sfiso deeper. He managed to pull Sfiso out, but sadly, by the time emergency services arrived, Sfiso had already passed away. His family is devastated by the tragedy.
