Appreciate the nod to FXRP as a key XRPL <> EVM solution, and props for running the numbers: 100% success at $0.02–0.04. Reliable and cheap. Thing is, bridging is the easy part. Hard part is everything after. Settling, rebalancing, proving what happened, key custody, staying compliant, and doing all of it without users feeling the machinery. That's what Flare 2.0 is built for. FSA and FCC, both shipping since the paper, close that loop. Grateful for the feature @xrpl_commons. Let's put the new tech in builders' hands soon.

XRP Ledger: New Academic Paper Two (of five) authors are from @xrpl_commons. Various interoperable architectures were analyzed. 1. XRPL EVM Sidechain 2. @axelar (Cosmos-based bridge) 3. @FlareNetworks (FAssets) 4. Interledger Protocol (ILP), 5. Near Intents. Key takeaway: XRPL excels at fast, low-cost transactions, asset issuance, and built-in DEX. However, it remains weak for programmable DeFi due to limited native smart contract capabilities compared to the EVM. The paper positions interoperability with EVM ecosystems as critical, not optional, to overcome fragmentation and unlock broader utility.
