VIDEO | Mumbai: On PM's appeal to avoid unnecessary expenditure, Rajya Sabha MP Ujjwal Nikam says, “The Prime Minister said that war-like situations are increasing, and therefore he advised all citizens to remain cautious. He appealed to people not to buy gold unnecessarily, avoid foreign tours, and reduce vehicle travel as much as possible. I believe the Prime Minister should not reduce his own security arrangements because he is the Prime Minister of our country. Under his leadership, India’s image has grown across the world. Through you, I would humbly request the Prime Minister not to make any compromise on his personal security. However, I do agree that restricting foreign tours of other ministers and officials is appropriate and beneficial for the country. Avoiding unnecessary expenditure is also important, but the Prime Minister’s security should not be reduced.”
