nightmare 17/17 Completion of Part 1 This small project that started from my passion and dissatisfaction of Reze's story in the original Chainsawman story ending had reached the long journey of 12 episodes before I realised it. This was the first kind of manga that I ever drew since I was born so there were plenty of things that were embarrassing and lacking, but I was able to complete part 1 thanks to my feelings towards Reze the whole way. In truth, the journey was not smooth all the way. Sometimes the small amount of numbers would make me feel more impatient, or see the completely empty comment section and feel a wave of depression or lose the passion to create. Every time I feel like I wanted to quit, I would just sit and stare at all the drawings I've made of Reze like puzzle pieces for a while. I would spend endless amount of time in deep thought in my room while Iris Out and Jane Doe would be playing out loud. Amazingly however, every time I would fall into deep darkness like those times, from inside of me the image of 'Reze smiling happily' came back to me in crystal clear vision every time. Perhaps this manga was my way of trying to push back against the pain that the original Chainsawman manga had left in me, a kind of a small healing process which helped me mend my own wounds stuck deep inside of me. The author Fujimoto Tatsuki had a quote, “For everyone who watched the ‘Reze Arc,’ I’d be glad if the presence of Reze remained in your minds as a lingering curse.”. It is with small hope that this story of mine was like a gentle comforting consolation that eases the curse that lingers inside your mind. Because while I was drawing this manga myself, I was able to finally take out the very curse that the author had put in me as well. The reason why I am closing it at part 1 here is because, I felt certain that at this current time, this was the most wonderful and touching story of salvation that I was able to create. However, I am not going to be concluding that this is where the story will be left at forever. If some day if I were to start drawing the first panel of part 2, that will definitely mean that miraculously, I've thought of an even better, more amazing story in my mind after all. Thank you for supporting this no-name author's rough lines, and I bow deeply with gratitude to all the readers who've wished for Reze's happiness together with me. I hope for Reze to stay happy no matter what.

@AceNero55 Part 1 Denji was great! Reze arc Denji was at his peak as a person no mention he was happyes at that arc. He had home, job, family and for the short time - love. That arc was truly peak.

Denji offering to run away with Reze says a lot about who he really is. He’s not thinking about touching boobs or anything like that. He just wants to help protect her. Even without knowing what was real, he’s willing to give up his new life so Reze doesn’t have to be alone.

I’ll never forget the hype when Reze was teased at the end of Season 1. Three years later, we got one of the best animated films ever made. Sometimes I wonder how different Reze Arc would’ve felt and looked if MAPPA stuck with the original Season 1 direction.

Thanks. Yes, she was in japan. I will delve deeper on this subject in next chapter. The thing that people seem to not understand is that besides giving my perspective on reze absence I aslo building the storytelling and cannot just breake the pace of manga for the sake of explaining everything. You gonna have to wait but im not promising anything.

@RentsSam Thanks! The pool scene is the night when Falling Devil appears. I thought I conveyed it well enough. She said she was in Japan and it was at exactly in night time of chapter 123 Hors D'oeuvre. Was it just in my head?)
