Yes they are apart of the game and this years roster construction was just terrible but out of Pope’s 2 szns here he’s had 10 games at full strength out of 70. Not making excuses him but it’s been some really bad luck.

I say this as a Cal fan, I remain unconvinced that Cal has really outperformed Pope. Not defending Pope, it has to get better…but people placing a lot of stock in Arky’s post season run that saw them beat Oklahoma, Miss, Vandy, Hawaii and High Point.

Welp. Hogs ran into a buzzsaw, seems like a recurring nightmare for Arkansas. You get hot, play well in the tournament, and then run into the eventual champions most likely. Nothing to take away from a great season for Arkansas, and I truly believe they’re a final four team in any other part of the bracket. That being said, you have to beat the best to be the best. And it’s clear that Arkansas is just a notch down of being championship caliber. Can point to excuses all day, but at the end of the day you’re just not good enough. I’ve seen a lot for improvement with Cal and I truly believe that he can take Arkansas back to the promised land BUT this type of roster isn’t going to do it. You need elite big men, and you need great defense. Both of which Arkansas has neither. There’s a lot of this core that I would love to see back for Arkansas, and this freshman class may be better than lasts. But big men are gonna be the key in the portal for cal. Gotta get some dawgs and do everything in your power to keep Billy. Great season, rough finish, onto the next weekend. Maybe this time the hogs can break through to the final four. #wps
