When Labour came to power July 2024 it inherited a recent OBR forecast of a £77bn deficit for 2025/26. Part of a sensible, steady downward trend in borrowing after the binge borrowing during the pandemic and the energy crisis caused by the Ukraine war. Reeves blew up that downward trend and went on yet another borrowing binge, which is why the deficit ended up £132bn in 25/26, despite a massive increase in taxes. I see no grounds for ‘warm words’ whatsoever. Her reckless fiscal policies are why we have the highest borrowing costs in the G7.

@afneil @BrianBr70781113 But Andrew why not report the reducing debt last year? Doesn’t fit your narrative I guess. 20 billion reduction to March if your fans would like to know. I think some warm words are required

Young women have been educated to see white men as the enemy and to blame their challenges on ‘toxic masculinity’, ‘structural sexism’ and ‘the patriarchy’. Woke identity politics has made us hate each other, says Patrick West buff.ly/NRO773Y

In the spat between JK Rowling and Alastair Campbell, Tony Blair’s ex-spin doctor has been outgunned and outclassed – like every transvestite fanboy before him. The men who pick fights with JKR must have some sort of humiliation fetish, says Julie Burchill buff.ly/P4TYGHP

I do wonder if anyone on the left will ever realise that driving millions of people (including billionaires) who used to vote for you away with lunatic policies and then implying they're bad people for not voting for you is not a winning strategy? Most tech oligarchs were compliant little wokeists or at best silent and complicit objectors until very recently. Same with many in business. As it was in the UK where wealthy people were standing in line to give money and support to Tony Blair and Peter Mandelson. If you don't want media platforms to be owned by wealthy people who support your opponents, don't complain - give them someone better to vote for!

The Scottish government is responsible for this sexual assault. The Supreme Court has confirmed women’s right to single sex spaces, a ruling the SNP continues to flout. If the victim wishes to sue, jkrwf.org can assist with all costs.

NEW: Police Scotland say a 38 year old prisoner has been arrested and charged after a sexual assault on a woman within HMP Greenock. @SkyNews understands the alleged offender is a transgender inmate who was born male & now identifies as female.

The arrogance of Alastair Campbell knows no bounds. The trans-pandering half-wit really believed he could take on the wise and wonderful JK Rowling in a war of words. When you come for the queen, you best not miss, says Julie Burchill buff.ly/P4TYGHP

Tired of politicians declaring that St George's day is a celebration of our "values". It's no such thing. "Values" are nebulous; they can change from one person to the next. National days are celebrations of national *identity*, not "values". And there's really nothing wrong with that.

Sir Keir Starmer is now approaching a whole week with his head in the sand. One can imagine the plaintive ‘meep, meep’ noise echoing from the Downing Street sandpit during the wee small hours. After being laughed at on Monday and then savaged on Tuesday, today brought the challenge of getting through PMQs while pretending that it was business as usual and – crucially – that the Mandelson business was still somebody else’s fault. ✍️ Madeline Grant Article | spectator.com/article/keir-s…

Keir Starmer has used St George's Day to attack people who fly the English flag. He accuses them of hijacking the flag to spread hate and brands it “plastic patriotism”. On England’s own national day, the Prime Minister is openly condemning ordinary patriots. This man truly despises traditional Britain.

Hey, Jews – have you ever considered the possibility that you’re making a fuss over nothing? That a few petrol bombs through the windows of your synagogues is not really a big deal? That’s what I heard when Zack Polanski wondered out loud this week if Britain’s Jews are experiencing ‘actual unsafety’ or just a ‘perception of unsafety’. It is one of the most tone-deaf, pitiless sentences I have heard a politician utter. ✍️ Brendan O’Neill Article | spectator.com/article/is-zac…

Clint Eastwood: "I love when people call Trump Stupid.. You mean the multi-billionaire who kicked every Democrats butt, buried 16 career Republican politicians, and continues to make fools out of once reputable news organizations .. You mean the guy who won the presidency? You mean the guy with the super model wife? You mean the guy whose words alone put a massive slow down on illegal border crossings? You mean the guy whose mere presence made the stock market smash its previous records? You mean the guy who created 1 million jobs in his first 7 months in office? Are you sure you even know what it is you're resisting? Are you sure you back a party that enables the decimation of every core principal of Christianity? Are you sure you back a party that voted 100% against the abolition of slavery? Are you sure you really take a politician like Maxine Waters seriously? Are you sure you don't see anything wrong with someone who has a 40 yr career as a public servant living in a $4.5 mansion representing a district.

The English never bothered much with St George’s Day in the past. But asymmetric multiculturalism, the ideological assaults on our history, culture and institutions, and the insistence that our way of life amounts to nothing more than “inclusivity”, means more people want to celebrate who we are. Identity isn’t about Keir Starmer’s values - just as it’s not about mine. There are values held by many that are not welcome in this country - it is true. But that’s not what he means because he’s too cowardly to confront the extremism that is changing our country for the worse and for example driving British Jews to other countries. If Starmer is to avoid being a “plastic patriot” - the phrase he uses to attack others today - he should repent and celebrate the ancient the laws, norms, literature, history, institutions, and culture that have made us who we are over a thousand years. He doesn’t, because his nihilistic “progressive” ideology means he loathes many of those things. That’s why more people care about St George’s Day than they once did. They want their country back. x.com/keir_starmer/s…

Today is St George's Day. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Your patron saint wasn't English. Your flag wasn't English either. Here's why we claimed them both. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧 He was from Cappadocia. Modern Turkey. A Roman soldier. The Praetorian Guard. Diocletian's personal bodyguard. 303 AD. The Emperor orders him to persecute Christians. He refuses. Walks into the throne room. Tells the Emperor his order is cruel. They offer him his life back. Gold. Land. His old command. He refuses again. 23rd of April, 303. They behead him. 1,723 years ago today. The flag was Genoese. 1099. Their navy was so feared that Barbary pirates turned home at the sight of it. In 1190, Richard the Lionheart signed a treaty. English ships could fly the cross for protection. We flew it so long we forgot it wasn't ours. In 2018, the Mayor of Genoa wrote to the Queen asking for 247 years of back rent. She didn't reply. Edward III makes George our patron saint. Henry V cries his name at Agincourt. A Roman soldier from Cappadocia became the name Englishmen died for. We didn't inherit our patron saint. We chose him. And we chose a soldier who refused. That is your history. This is who we are. 🇬🇧 We find what Britain has forgotten. And we tell it properly. proudofus.co.uk/support Be part of us. Be Proud Of Us. 🙏🇬🇧

More words to coming back to haunt the Keir Starmer. Why has he now prorogued Parliament ‘at this crucial time’? More and more it seems like ‘One rule for them, another for everyone else’.
