Everyone warns you about Chinese small caps. So I filtered my entire P&L by Chinese tickers only. The result was not exactly what the warning labels promised: 👇

@traderjoe666 @TamirShlomi Same thing, it's a busted trade - a known case happens to Dale when he was short credit spread on options, the exchange busted the trade and reversed, only diff he was back short and the price was very high ended at a loss. same thing!

@bxrjss básicamente porque el nuevo movimiento se da, por ejemplo, “con 2.6M de vol negoc. en vez de 2.1” o con “x veces el float”, “o no es china”. Pero indagando en la logica de mercado se pueden sacar ciertas conclusiones, aun sabiendo que nunca estaras 100% a salvo.

Insisto mucho que la gente debería mirarse bien si en el backtest ese tan "maravilloso" que tienen si incluye casos como $CIIT $ENSC $PLYX y compañía. Estar a un trade de acabar tu carrera creo que es mas que suficiente para hacer tambalear todos los pilares que sostienen todas tus estrategias y ver como evitar que tu paso por el trading acabe.

@SmallCapSmarts PM edge has not eroded, plenty of meat if you can sustain the 4 fig % squeeze, which I believe comes from big retail guys doing this on purpose, then you can extract +EV. I personally can't afford the risk, hence I moved to scalp longing those

I have a question for the “adapt or die” small-cap crowd. Not for me, but for everyone who’s struggling right now: How exactly do you adapt here? By scalping, going long, or using some new price action patterns? Most of you seem to deny that edge erosion exists, so no risk to your P&L here.

These trading dashboards I see pop up everywhere often resemble high-tech cockpits, meticulously designed to look authoritative and professional, yet they frequently lack a meaningful connection to actual decision-making. The core issue is the absence of a filter that asks whether a specific data point will actually change your next move. If a metric doesn't lead to a concrete output, it is merely aesthetic clutter disguised as an edge. You must treat new information or ideas as a micro-experiment that requires immediate, real-world validation asap. Ultimately, this process is less about accumulating insights and more about the radical stripping away of the unnecessary. Most information that crosses your desk will fail the test of immediate utility and reveal itself as noise that offers the feeling of control without the reality of it. By demanding a short feedback loop, you learn to discard the "attractive" data that provides no actual edge and leaves only the essential tools. These are often far simpler than the complex systems they replace, but their power depends on the creative thought you apply to make them functional.

I have purchased options for the first time on DAS interface recently. I have some $XLE calls and can't quite remember the expiration date. The terminology in the position window is this: "+XLE^H1F80". Both ChatGPT and Claude say it's August 2026 expiration, meanwhile Grok is (I think correctly) saying it's January 2027. LEAPS.
