This sell-outs whole career is filled with Punjab Police PR and whitewashing them. Now she writes for leftist Wire. Her whole career she couldn’t write for us, now does a kabza on our pain too.
Harinder Baweja@shammybaweja

@HoneyTrehan pours his heart out. A censor board official actually told him Satluj is ‘a bloody good film but what’s in it for us’ and ‘Yes, your film is a true story but who speaks the truth so loudly these days?’ Read the full interview @thewire_in

@seemay @shammybaweja Irony of using Shammy to write this. She was at the forefront of running PR for Punjab Police throughout her career. What a travesty for Sikhs. Not a single outlet genuinely capable of engaging with Sikhs and taking it to Delhi. We have churn of these worn out sell outs instead.

Darshan Singh Canadian was armed by the Hindu Fascist state against Sikhs. He was running a VDC (Village Defense Committee) in his village. These leftists think we don’t know the crimes they committed against Sikhs.
Anubhav Singh@lucifer_damned

It’s sad that the left has forgotten its own leaders who were targeted by terrorism and has instead chosen to either stay mum or worse join liberals in glorifying it out of some misplaced sense of piety. Laanat. So many comrades died defending communal harmony in Punjab.

@komaljbs It is a valuable lesson. Sikhs should never have fallen into liberal or left trap. It just means our Genocide, to be blunt. Newslaundry knows what they are doing. Laugh at Sikhs and get Hartosh to set the agenda. It’s not like there is a Sikh political party defending us.

Host welcomes Hartosh Bal, recites "Tunak Tunak Tun." The stereotype is the first problem. The silence that followed from everyone in that room including guest speaker is the second. That silence is as much the problem as the joke.

For most people watching Satluj, 25,000 versus 8,000 is besides the point. @MnshaP on this week's NL Hafta, with @AbhinandanSekhr, @Shardool_ , and @HartoshSinghBal discuss Sutlaj. 🔒 Tune in. newslaundry.com/2026/07/11/haf…

1988, Indian PM Rajiv Gandhi smuggling arms from Kabul, for his 'dirty tricks' in Panjab. Terrorism manufactured using Union govt, fake look alike doing killings in name of Sikhs, bus incidents, for decorating dead bodies of innocent youth after fake encounters. #Panjab knows it.

What this person carefully omits for his low-attention-span audience - but what is clearly shown in this 1991 BBC documentary The ‘Troubles’ in Punjab - Caught in the Crossfire - is that in the village of Vain Poin, Khadur Sahib, Gian Chand’s family was fiercely protected from criminal extortionists by his lifelong friend Taran Singh. Taran Singh’s son, Dharam Singh, was an armed Sikh nationalist militant who engaged in gunfights with those tormenting the family, but he was killed facing security forces on 12 September 1987. If Gian Chand was still being harassed by extortionists in 1991, one can only wonder which side the security forces were truly favouring. @ensaaf has a profile on Dharam Singh which I attach.

Wonder why today's rural Punjab is mostly Sikh dominated? Because all Hindus were purged by Khalistanis from Punjab villages, no different than Pakistan. 30,000+ is only the recorded figure of the time when militancy was at its peak.

@dareader23 Left were Armed mercenaries of the state that killed Sikhs. Did Paash’s comrades hold a court while killing a girl and her father by branding her AISSF member? Why didn’t these guns turn towards Hindu fascists or Police?

@dareader23 Communists inserted themselves as mercenaries of the state. You never call them out because their role has been erased. It will be brought out slowly by whatever I can find. They killed another human rights defender Major Baldev Singh Ghuman too.

@dareader23 Forgetting the minor part that communists supported attack on Darbar Sahib, formed VDCs and then got armed by butcher Gill. Comrades were armed mercenaries, not merely critics.

@YILTSTV This is one of the issues with Khalistanis, they wanted to be establish themselves as dominant power in Punjab, who decided if any other movement was legitimate or not. If they decide a movement isn't legitimate, they expected them to be quiet, or be forced to be quiet

These Punjabi comrades have a monopoly on media regarding Punjab & Sikhs. Readily find platforms anywhere. Shiv is Hartosh’s favourite starter kutta. Butcher Gill’s nephew gives him writing commissions. Now he is pulling down Shaheed Khalra Ji. These same comrades formed VDCs.
