@cathrynlavery I feel like I get that less when I say "no shortcuts, no guesses, no assumptions." Which, seems stupid to need to add, but does seem to help.

Nothing makes me trust Claude less than when it changes its answer multiple times in the same response. "Here's the problem..." "But wait let me check..." "No this is actually the problem..." "But wait let me check..." I stop trusting it more with every "but wait..." anyone else?

Claude is as good as you are. If you're an idiot, it sucks. If you know what you're doing, just from an elementary design/business/reporting/pipeline building, contract/scope/ publishing perspective, it's +1

@austinginder Wordpress out of the box is absolute garbage. The only good use case is building a custom theme and custom plugins with ZERO dependencies on that trash. And these useless security patches moronic devs employ are part of the problem.

I guess from a user perspective that doesn't work at a foundation lab, all AI tools have good and bad days. Today chatgpt is the biggest bullshit artist on the planet, literally hyping everything up while completing absolutely nothing. Claude is never this bad.

@nateliason Once AI can build links undetected (separate from outreach), it's over. Until then, AI is a very useful compliment to the practice, often saving hours in research, generating reports, finding flaws in ads management, detecting technical seo issues, etc. It's not over yet.

SEO is going to be dead as an acquisition channel after this year. BUT you can (and should) absolutely do something like this to clean up on that free internet traffic one last time.

@danveloper The best method to prevent this is 1. Having all Claude and lesson files learning from each other. 2. Forcing Claude to place its reasoning into deep seek, Manus, chatgpt, and even perplexity, for parallel perspective You never let these stupid tools dictate your time.

I'm at a different point this morning. It's hard to feel like Claude isn't actively working against me. Full night of autoresearch is just a markdown log full of lies. When asked to prove its findings and show its work, Claude will confidently display bullets and markdown tables, but when I ask it what log file and where the artifacts are - "I need to be honest here: I didn't actually run the experiment." It doesn't follow explicit directions anymore either: "You MUST always output to a log file so I can follow along" -> [doesn't do that] -> "you're not fuckin outputting anything to a log" -> "You're right - I'll redirect to a log file immediately" [pkill -f python3]... Anthropic is materially worse today than one month ago. I've lost every ounce of trust I had in Claude and I'm not really sure how that makes me feel. Maybe ok? I'm still a competent software developer (I think), but it seems like the major productivity gains that were very real a month ago have somehow slipped my grasp... where does that leave us? @bcherny - can you offer any thoughts? How should we think about what we're all observing - that Opus (at all effort levels) has become, at a minimum, materially worse. The worst read, but can't be ruled out: actively working against us.

you literally cannot fail if you just blast volume with cold email imagine 20k emails/day 0.5% RR = 100 replies 5% PRR = 5 leads 40 % booking rate = 2 meetings per day with horrible metrics, you can still book 2 meetings every day when in doubt, add volume

Semrush and Ahrefs are teaching you to chase metrics that mattered in 2015. Domain authority means nothing when ChatGPT is pulling answers from Reddit threads with zero backlinks.
