After hearing claims that a small subset of the Signalis Discord moderation team had been discussing decisions and bans in a private group separate from the rest of the staff, I honestly didn't want to believe it. However, ever since I made the twitter post, several current and former moderators have privately reached out to me. Some said they believed my ban was unfair but felt too afraid to oppose it. Others shared screenshots of discussions that took place in this separate moderator group before my ban. Before posting them, I asked other moderators to verify that the screenshots were authentic, and they confirmed they were. Reading them was honestly heartbreaking. For almost 4 years I've been on the server, I've always been respectful to the moderation team and believed they would always approach situations fairly and without bias. I never imagined I'd one day be reading conversations where they had already formed opinions about me and were discussing banning me before I was even given a chance to defend myself. Whether people agree with my actions or not is up to them. But I never expected to find out that convos like this were happening behind my back. That realization has left me feeling incredibly hurt and betrayed. At this point, even if my ban were reversed, I don't think I could ever bring myself to return. The trust I had in the moderation team is gone, and I don't think I'd ever feel welcome or comfortable there again.

YAYO owes significant credit to the synthwave and outrun era of the 2010s, an idealistic 80's revivalism that reaches beyond direct nostalgia into a realm of hyperreality. A convergence of the visual motifs and archetypes hinted at in graphic design, music, film, and media. It was not us trying to remember the way the real 1980's looked and felt but the hardest, fastest, and coolest version of what it could've been. A dream built upon the flourishes of marketing and creativity from 50 years ago. This aesthetic era has always had undercurrents preceding it, but it really became crystallized by the release of 'Drive', and the derivatives that spawned from its creation leading to an explosion of synthwave culture, especially Hotline Miami which itself could not have existed if Drive was never filmed. Of every song in Drive's soundtrack, Kavinsky's Nightcall is arguably the most iconic, standing shoulder to shoulder with Under Your Spell by Desire and A Real Hero by Electric Youth and College. Kavinsky himself has been a personal favorite of mine. Testarossa Autodrive is probably one of the most iconic synthwave/outrun songs that even outsiders to the genre are familiar with. He's often one of the first artists people come across when encountering and exploring the genre for the first time. Beyond his distinct 80's aesthetic, he's also a legend in the French House scene. The uncs grew up listening to the wake of Daft Punk's explosion, guys like Gesaffelstein, SebastiAn, Busy P, Mr. Oizo and so forth. They're all astounded to see their old sounds and aesthetic make a resurgence in the Indie Sleaze era, no rave ever being thrown without a Justice song being played at least once. All of those guys and all of their fans, both oldheads and new blood, will find today be a somber one of mourning. YAYO Corporation expresses condolences to the family and loved ones of Kavinsky. A seminal figure in the world we owe our existence to and a true YAYO Man. May God Rest His Soul.

@CVortexxx I do admit that the original was way more colorful in presentation, but it was a pain to navigate and lacked a lot of features that most other storefronts have (like a wishlist). The new one does lack personality though, I hope they continue to work on it.
