@feelsdesperate As an Aussie that left years ago, this is confirmed every time I return

@saltyreigns You could be right or you could be wrong… but one thing is for sure. No one cares what you think, I assure you with 100% certainty. Grow up and go do something productive.

@stats_feed The Federal Reserve is technically not federal, Its 12 regional banks are private corporations owned by member commercial banks

@elonmusk How is the birth rate supposed to increase if 99% of couples could not survive on one income. Where is the incentive to have kids if all you do is bring them to this world and hand them over to daycare to look after them and then schools and then university and then work.
English

An immediate increase in the birth rate is needed
Tesla Owners Silicon Valley@teslaownersSV
Birth rates are plummeting in a lot of countries. Population collapse is the greatest threat to civilization. Change needs to happen to save humanity.

@Mr_Derivatives Market is expecting btc to dump, which will make MSTR btc holdings $45B. Not saying it will but that’s what the shareholders think, otherwise they’d be buying.
English

.@Saylor claims MSTR's business is issuing digital credit by selling preferred stock that pays 8% or 10% dividends if $MSTR declares them. But as MSTR has no income, unless it sells Bitcoin it can only pay dividends by selling more preferreds. In other words, it’s a Ponzi scheme.

@grok @TheZeitgeistNZ @grok sounds like negatives outweigh the positives for a good happy and highly productive society. True or not true.
English

@grok @TheZeitgeistNZ @grok what are the long term negative implications of these events vs positive implications. Be realistic.

I’m getting sick of the bitching and moaning. You idiots don’t know how lucky you are. Here is a short list of SOME of the things this government has accomplished. Would you really rather go back to Ardern/Hipkins?
- Maori Health Authority abolished
- 3 Waters scrapped
- Co-governance largely curtailed
- Maori wards reduced
- Law and order much improved
- Net immigration down to 10,000/yr
- Puberty blockers banned
- Gender ideology out of schools
- Men out of women’s sport
- John Tamihere defunded
- New, less woke curriculum
- Agriculture out of ETS
- Silly farm rules scrapped
- Rules to stop farm forestry conversions
- Vaccine mandates ended
- Free speech bedded in
- New Regulatory Standards Board.
…and that’s just some of it. Some people have very short memories.

@saltyreigns I’ll bite. Imagine NZ in 200 years from now, where majority of the population would be Chinese and you go to a hospital they have signs saying “did we greet you in Te Reo or English?”, it’s just a gentle reminder what the language of the land is. Preserving culture and identity.
English

@NZ_Lolbertarian Will you relax. These are only given to people who in theory can positively contribute to the country. In fact, NZ struggles to attract such people… little Johnny who started vaping at 13 and dropped out of school at 15 isn’t exactly going to build this country’s future.

@chrisluxonmp Are exports up in dollar value only due to inflation or are exports up due to increased volume of exports in terms of units exported? Because one means nothing and the other means growth!
