Tough read about a group of Ukrainian 18 to 24-year-olds who volunteered as part of the recruitment campaign this spring.

Earlier this year the BS Budget Bill reduced the tax deduction for gambling losses to 90%.
In response, I introduced the FAIR BET Act to restore the commonsense 100% tax deduction to protect professional and recreational gamblers. I was the first in Congress to introduce this fix and haven’t stopped garnering support from members and stakeholders since.
In fact, the #FAIRBETAct has up to 21 bipartisan co-sponsors with @RepEzell most recently joining!
It is now critical for @WaysandMeansGOP to add this bill to the legislative calendar before the year ends. We must get this fixed.

If Russia wins in Ukraine, it will cost the EU maybe 40-60% of GDP because we will then have to spend 2% more on defence every year for the next two generations.
Giving Ukraine 2% of EU GDP right now will save us from that scenario.
It is a no brainer. Why are we hesitating?

Last night in the House Rules Committee, I introduced several amendments to address a severely flawed government funding bill:
🎲Reverse the unfair gaming tax deduction with my FAIR BET Act,
🧪Prevent funding for the resumption of explosive nuclear testing with my RESTRAIN Act,
🍲Ensure uninterrupted SNAP benefits, and,
💰Stop Republican Senators from receiving a $500,000 paycheck in taxpayer dollars.
Unfortunately, Republicans blocked these efforts by preventing any votes on Democratic amendments because they are not serious about addressing the needs of Nevadans.

The Israeli Air Force carried out a precision strike earlier against a tent located near the Al-Shifa Hospital in the Northern Gaza Strip, targeting the tent’s occupants, which included Al Jazeera journalists Anas Jamal Al-Sharif and Mohammed Quraiqa, as well as at least five other members of the Al Jazeera correspondent team in Gaza.
