Leverage + futures needs discipline. Review of futures bots (risk controls, transparency, reliability). Yeagers featured. dev.to/ilyarowan/best… Not financial advice. Trading is risky.

@Rune_Capital @gfc4 @ScottPh77711570 Yep - some drawdown is normal. The “brutal” part is usually sizing. If you’re down 35%, either you were concentrated, or you kept trading the same size while conditions changed. Pros don’t avoid drawdowns - they cap them, then resize down and survive.

If you have a $100k account and you're sitting at a 35% drawdown, that's $35,000 gone. Either half your portfolio was in a single stock that dropped 70%, or you got chopped up multiple times and never sized down. That's a position sizing problem. It happened to me when I started. You learn from it, and you don't keep doing it.

Has anyone ever gotten really wealthy trading their own account without experiencing some brutal drawdowns?

I mean, this is just justifying recklessness. He can allocate his portfolio into 50 to 75% lower risk and make 5000 to $10,000 per month which is good money, and then use a 25% allocation for a higher risk strategy so that he doesn’t just blow up in one day. Trading is not about how much you make. It’s about how much you keep.

Warren Buffett's final move at Berkshire yields a $2B oil windfall. The energy allocation proves its worth as a portfolio diversifier. Watch for momentum shifts in $BRK and $OXY. Monitor key support levels. $AMD #Tech #Trading #SOFI #Invest 🔔💰🤖🚀

@jicapal Facts - permissions are risk management. The edge is what your agent is not allowed to do

a persmission system you understand is fundamentally a risk management option, therefore handing your extended mind sym your bank account you can chaos engineer how to not lose money trading a skin-in-the-game satisfyable bet is the best thing next to having kids that one can do
𝚟𝚒𝚎 ⟢@viemccoy

When building an agent harness from scratch, two things are incredibly important. 1) You need to setup incredibly understandable defaults. A permission system you understand, and can hold in your mind. 2) You will never build anything if you try to understand everything.

months of grinding and building logic. day 1 live. let's go. built an orderflow based intraday trading algo. the whole point was simple. remove my human bias. let the system decide entries, risk management, position sizing. testing it on 1 lot right now. just watching. letting it breathe. first signal today. GOD-- bear signal on Nifty 3m. 85% confidence. decision mode strict. it entered clean. not gonna get excited on day 1. that's not how this works. plan is to observe for a few days first. understand how it behaves live vs how it behaved in testing. then slowly scale. next step after that is plugging in my AI agent tradevex to hand it full control. but that's later. right now i just want to watch and learn from it. one step at a time. will keep updating here.

@Kelvintalent_ This breaks trading down to its core pillars—strategy, discipline, and risk management. Most traders think they have a strategy problem, but in reality it’s usually execution and consistency. Once those are fixed, even a simple system can become profitable over time.

Well if Your current trading challenge is 👇 ✅ KNOWLEDGE : Understand that You only need one strategy to become profitable. Pick one strategy, study it deeply, backtest it, create a plan around it and stick to it. Jumping from one trading system to another or from one mentorship to another is what keeps you stuck for years . ✅ DISCIPLINE : If Discipline is your problem then it means Your strategy isn’t the problem, your execution is. Create clear rules for entry, exit, and risk, then follow them no matter how you feel. Create Consequences for yourself anytime you go against your rules Add consequences like:👇 If you overtrade 👉 no trading next day If you revenge trade 👉 reduce lot size for a week If you break risk rules 👉 i won't eat for the next 24hrs If there are no sanctions, humans find it hard to follow rules... And also Journal Your Mistakes (Not Just Trades) Consistency comes from doing the same thing over and over, not from emotions. ✅ CAPITAL Lack of capital is not your biggest issue, poor risk management is. You can Grow a small account properly, compound your profit and scale up or consider prop firms once you’re consistent, some prop firm lowest account size ranges between $17- $35. If you can afford a $17 prop account, then you need to get a Job first. You need money to make money. GM Billionaires ForeverINProfit🥂

Most traders are chasing signals. Professionals are mastering foundations. 📊 Trading isn’t one skill — it’s a stack. Psychology. Risk management. Position sizing. Market structure. Liquidity. Execution. Backtesting. Journaling. Consistency. Miss one… and the system leaks. Master them… and the edge compounds. 📈 The truth? You don’t blow accounts because of entries. You blow accounts because you skipped the boring topics. Real traders study: • Risk before reward • Process before profits • Discipline before dopamine Stop hunting the next strategy. Start building the complete trader. Because in trading… The edge is not a setup — it's the trader.
