This is a very dishonest take btw lol Sponsorship allows employers to have the upper hand when hiring — multiple restrictions exist that do not exist for domestic workers? The “shortage” list is questionable too, our Govt doesn’t even audit this regularly?

If British grads were consistently filling those roles, employers wouldn’t sponsor visas. Sponsorship costs money and time it’s not the cheaper option. Companies only use it when they can’t hire locally. The same thing happened with care roles before Boris introduced that route.

Also… in the sectors where we genuinely *do* have labour shortages, why isn’t there a longer-term strategy to establish a pipeline for young people in the UK to be trained/acquire skills to get into those sectors? It’s like govt policy is always reactive.

Place a straight stick upright, look at the shadow it casts, and face the opposite direction of the shadow — that will point you towards the Ka‘bah. Modern tilting train technology was widely developed and tested from the 1960s onward to help trains handle curves more smoothly and quickly by leaning inward during turns, reducing the sideways forces felt by passengers. The technology is especially useful on winding and mountainous rail routes, where building entirely new high-speed lines would be difficult or expensive, and it is still actively used today on many rail networks. 📹kilistrains
