On behalf half of the Chairperson AFCON Local Organising Committee - Uganda Maama @JanetMuseveni, I welcomed @CAF_Media that is meeting all the stakeholders from Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania under the PAMOJQ 27 Workshop (Kick - Off Meeting) @MestilHotel. The two day workshop is aimed and reviewing the performance of CHAN 2024 that Uganda hosted with Kenya and Tanzania and picking lessons from the just concluded AFCON 2025 that was hosted in Morocco. I wish to thank @CAF_Media President Dr. Patrice Motsepe and the entire executive for continuing to support PAMOJA in its endeavor to host AFCON 2027. I also thank the @GovUganda and our colleagues from Kenya and Tanzania for the efforts towards a successful tournament come June - July 2027. We wish all our visitors a safe stay in Uganda For God and My Country

Helen Nakimuli, former Woman MP for Kalangala District, ahead of a special sitting convened to honour her today. For us who listened to her make contributions on the floor of Parliament over the years, we can affirm that she was an active and committed legislator. She participated in debates that advanced the protection of island communities, supported fishing activities on Lake Victoria, and championed laws promoting safe water transport, among other important issues. Parliament will always celebrate and honour her contributions in these and many other areas that strengthen good governance. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

💥🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trump’s blockade in the Strait of Hormuz COLLAPSES - Financial Times Approximately 34 Iranian oil tankers have slipped through the blockade, with 19 vessels exiting the Persian Gulf past Trump's navy and another 15 ships entering from the Arabian Sea toward Iran, according to the Financial Times. This afternoon at Nakasero State Lodge, I received former Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn, Chairman of the Board of Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa, and his team. These groups support us through relevant science, packaging and financing, as well as advocacy. Our discussion focused on key agricultural issues such as irrigation, improved seeds, fertiliser use and strengthening local seed systems to increase food security and household incomes. On livestock, I informed them that in the past cattle moved long distances in search of water and pasture, which made disease control difficult. I requested support for research on animal feeds to address the challenges farmers are facing today. I welcome their partnership.

Last night after my TV show at about 00:30. After crossing the traffic lights in Ntinda on Kisaasi road, 3 young men rolled a sack I believe of charcoal in my direct lane. I noticed there was a vehicle(probably a gate away car) parked on the pavement on my left. I aimed at them on the space on my right. They scampered and narrowly avoided colliding with an oncoming car. I believe these are the paver criminals littering our city. Take care guys. @PoliceUg
