Armenia is doing so well in this extremely complex geographical area. Its people have proven unwaveringly in recent years to prioritize peace and democratic development.
This needs very careful nurturing though, and nothing is assured, as Georgia is an example.
A truly democratic challenger to the existing government (in power for 8 years now) will be of vital importance for the next election cycle, after June 7, 2026.

Had a productive exchange with the VP of Türkiye @_cevdetyilmaz in the margins of @EPCArmenia. Touched upon the bilateral and regional cooperation opportunities between 🇦🇲 & 🇹🇷.
Welcomed the signing of the protocol on the joint reconstruction of historic Ani bridge.

Majority of Russians (I assume they are Russian or Ukrainian) seem quite civil in Armenia, but every now and then you will encounter uncultured nasty people who think they are in Russia. Such people should be reminded that they are not in Russia, Armenia is not a place for low cultured rude environment.
We don’t need that aspect of “Russian world” brought into Armenia.
But same applies to all foreigners. Gradually, there will have to be some limits so that certain culture of civil interaction is not degraded.

Brace yourself. The next few days are going to be some of the most grotesque and repuslive in Armenia.
The whole gang of EU elites with 10-20% approval ratings in their respective countries are going to visit Armenia on a "re-elect Pashinyan at all costs" mission, spewing their regular Russophobic rhetoric, making ear-pleasing promises that will never materialize, while the West-worshipping crowd here will cheer and clap to all of that, thinking they actually "matter." They do indeed "matter," but only as a battering ram against our Russian friends, as if the lessons of Georgia and Ukraine weren't already enough.
And just as a reminder, Armenia will never join the EU.

Armenia’s upcoming elections will be a referendum on the country’s future. As in Moldova, the Kremlin is deploying every tool to regain influence.
Armenians are reaching out to Europe. We should do the same.
More democracies in Europe, more peace.
