@SeedOilDsrspctr Japan didn’t just copy 7-Eleven — they made it better. Fresh food, no junk. Suzuki turned American convenience into actual food culture. RIP legend.

@RasberryRazz I think it’s just meant to be a play on the fact these unrelated ethnic groups are both called “Indians”. Calling this appallingly racist is a stretch, even by 2026 standards.

Started watching the original Popeye shorts from the start (1933) and appalled at how racist the second short was, (especially for the time) cause it ends with Popeye punching a Native American chief so hard the chief is transformed into Mahatma Gandhi. What the hell?!

My local Arby's became a Jollibee. My local GameStop is becoming a boba place. Is everyone else's town turning Asian?

@FischerKing64 Asia too. I once saw a similar little street dog in China that was missing both its hind legs and scurried around on its front legs. Cute but very pathetic.

This is the kind of thing you see driving around rural areas in Eastern Europe. Dogs who form little packs, probably dumped by people who didn’t want them, begging for food along roads. It’s very sad. That this goes on in wealthy LA shows what a mess current leadership is.

Please pray for this little angel. I met this sweet dog on Skid Row with @joey_tuccio the other day, one of the many dogs he helps that Karen Bass allows to be tortured every day by vagrants. He was just run over by a car and is in emergency surgery. These people are sick.

@cremieuxrecueil I assumed “affirmative action” isn’t being used as the specific policy but as a generalized term for racial and gender initiatives over merit. For instance government programs to help women owned businesses.

Are White women the primary beneficiaries of affirmative action? That's a real claim that's commonly advanced by journalists, and the claim has gone so far that it's even made its way into academic publications and policy. But the claim is completely false🧵

@cremieuxrecueil I think the claim has something to do with federal contractors having to hire women and since there’s a lot more white women in general, then they benefit more from this policy in absolute numbers. It’s a silly way of looking at it. Who benefits more per capita?

@GPrime85 I remember many yrs ago some guy contacted me because he has a card game concept & needed illustrations for the cards. I worked up a few concepts & he liked it but had only budgeted to pay $15 per illustration. There was no way, he has no idea the time it took to make decent art.

"200 bucks per second (of animation) and you wonder why everyone is abandoning 'artists' in favor of AI" Hand drawn animation is 8-12 frames per second. Let's average it to 10. That's 20 bucks per drawing, in color, plus backgrounds, plus thumbnails, plus extra time if work needs to be redone or tweaked. Also complexity is exponential, so more characters per scene means more work per frame, x10 per second. If it takes more time than estimated, the artist doesn't earn get overtime. They lose money. Imagine going to work this Tuesday and your boss says "You expect me to PAY you? I could just have a machine do your job." Would you still get up at 6am go to work? Do you have a job? Do you get paid? So do artists. So, 200 bucks per second is more than fair. In fact, it's a steal. If you want quality, you have to buy it like everything else. If you want to pay nothing, all you get will be worthless slop.

I am a retired software engineer who made so much money I dont have to care about anything, forever, before I was 40. I worked with our "high skilled immigration", and I dont fucking want them either, regardless of what an indian woman posing as an intellectual on twitter says.

It's almost impossible to view these people as anything other than insecure downwardly-mobile losers afraid of competition from more talented immigrants.

The music you choose to listen to is active self hypnosis, mk ultra on demand. This is why curating your media is important. Sad music will make you sad etc. If you ever wonder why Boomers are the way they are, please remember this first. And maybe turn the music off.

@WallStreetApes She really needs to run chromatography or isotope analysis to determine sugar source more reliably. For example, carbon isotope testing can often distinguish cane/corn-derived sugars from beet sugar because corn and cane use different photosynthetic pathways.

A real scientific study onto Coca-Cola found that Mexican Coke is a lie. It showed there is no real cane sugar “In 2010, a group of legit scientists get together to do a legitimate experiment for a legitimate science journal, and they want to test soft drinks including Coca-Cola. They want to know what sorts of sweetener are being used for each and how much of that sweetener is in each of them. So they gather a bunch of soft drinks including a Mexican Coca-Cola and an American Coca-Cola, and do all of their testing. What they find is that the Mexican Coca-Cola actually has no sucrose in it, meaning sugar. All they find in this is glucose and fructose, the elements that are used to build high fructose corn syrup. — They found no sugar. They only found the elements for high fructose corn syrup” Okay this sounds really crazy, so I looked into what’s actually happening Coke is highly acidic with phosphoric acid. Sucrose, which is cane sugar, hydrolyzes (breaks down) very quickly in acidic conditions into glucose + fructose By the time the bottle reaches you, especially after shipping, storage, and sitting on shelves, most or all of the sucrose has already inverted That’s why the study found almost zero intact sucrose Recent lab tests confirmed Mexican Coke starts with cane sugar but ends up with ~97% inverted by the time it’s tested So you are literally paying more for nothing So it’s technically not a lie, but it’s also incredibly misleading too

.@ComicDaveSmith: "Joe Biden & Kamala Harris did to this country is a profound CRIME to commit against your own people... to have your borders de facto open, millions of people pouring into your country!" Me: "I see Chris grimacing... but you do have to acknowledge the Biden-Harris administration DID allow millions of people to enter the country?" @chrisdmowrey: "I would actually fundamentally disagree with that." Me: "Well, it's a fact." @chrisdmowrey: "It's not a fact... let me explain." The panel derails into a fiery immigration debate on the latest "Brad vs The World": youtu.be/5RFsW_TyLSo
