Sullivan said last night that he will analyze the roster after the draft and respond accordingly. There are a lot of veteran starting safeties still available in free agency, by the way.

Though Kyle Louis will have some safety-like responsibilities, Dolphins say he's a LB for them. Incredibly, Dolphins now have 6 ILBs who MIGHT be better than a single safety on their roster - Jordyn Brooks, Dodson, Jacob Rodriguez, Willie Gay Jr, Ronnie Harrison and Louis. Team has 4 safeties & no clear cut starter: vet journeyman Lonnie Johnson, Trader, special teams core player Zayne Anderson, developmental player Omar Brown. Hafley & Sullivan will figure it all out presumably.

Picked 94th overall, Bell said last night was frustrating because he knows he's "better than" some WRs drafted ahead of him. "I run great routes. I am a great run after catch player. I'm physical; a lot of DBs can't deal with a big guy like me. There are a lot of things I bring to the table."

New Dolphins WR Chris Bell, in ongoing press conference, said he's doing very well 4 1/2 months after surgery. He said it's "crazy" that the Dolphins picked him because he kept asking himself: "What if I go to Miami? What if I go to Miami."

@KyleBDavis12 Actually if they hit on 50% of their day 2 picks that would be well above league average. Statistically about 20-30% of day 2 picks become average starters in the NFL

"I didn't have issues with most of Miami's picks on the night. Linebacker Jacob Rodriguez is going to be great for that defense, and Chris Bell has first-round traits if healthy. But the Dolphins' other receiver pick was a big, big reach. Caleb Douglas went No. 75. He was my WR24. Thirteen receivers ranked above him were still out there. For a team with Malik Washington and Jalen Tolbert topping the depth chart right now, the Dolphins had to do better there. Bell can become an impact receiver, but he's coming off a torn ACL."

Per @RapSheet , the doctor who repaired the ACL of new Dolphins receiver Chris Bell told teams this week that he's ahead of schedule and running 18 plus mph and very good chance he will be ready for start of season.

The draft is so funny because if we took Chris Bell at 75 and Caleb Douglas at 94 nobody would be that upset but because they’re flipped it’s such a different perception

You also get arguably the best run blocking TE for a team that wants to run. A lot of progress seems to have been made last 2 nights. Again, this will take years to undo all the damage of the previous GM. But holes have been filled.

The Chris Bell pickup should raise spirits among Dolphins fans. You get a WR, off an ACL, that has the ability to be a 1 or 2. 72-917-6 TDs last season... In Rodriguez, you got the nation's leader in tackles since 2024 and nation's lead in forced fumbles in 2025. You get nation's leader in passer rating against (Chris Johnson). You get best run-blocking tackle drafted through 70 picks at least, per PFF (Proctor).

Alright I get the medicals are scary for Jermod McCoy but this is getting egregious. He’s about to fall out of the 2nd round?! He would’ve been a guaranteed top 10 pick maybe top 5 if he was healthy. We’re past the point of the risk outweighing the reward. Somebody take this guy.

The only reason Jacob Rodriguez fell to the 2nd round was because they think he’s undersized. I remember the last time we drafted a linebacker from Texas Tech that was “undersized”

@tonelantern @DavidFurones_ We still have brooks and dodson. So it’s not the biggest need outside lb cb and saftey wr too are bigger needs. We arguably have the worse room in all of those positions. Can’t say that about off ball linebackers position
