This is one of our newest mounts named “Northrup” named after our fallen officer DC Jeff Northrup. Glad he was able to make it to the @LETRToronto event today in honour of Jeff.

Friday a crime dual committed 16 robberies.The ETF unit found the two committing another robbery & chased them on foot.Both were caught.The K9 team of PC Scott Aikman & PSD Karma attended & searched along the route the two ran.Karma located a loaded firearm.Well done ETF & Karma!

23 years ago I saw an elderly woman fall on the platform @ College Stn. To my disgust, people stepped over her. 2 people and myself came to her aid. That small incident changed my life so much that I left University to become a first responder. 2 years later joined @TorontoPolice

After a full day demonstrating, the trucks and protesters who had blocked Avenue & Bloor have been safely moved out. We appreciated the cooperation as we opened & returned the intersection for safe use by residents & businesses.Officers will remain in the area over the weekend.

The @TorontoPolice Dog Services Unit is mourning the loss of PSD Garda, who fell ill unexpectedly yesterday. Although she was only 4, she was an invaluable member of the unit, having discovered numerous firearms & narcotics that helped keep the City of #Toronto safe. #RIPK9Garda

Members of @TPS31Div detained a male reported to be in poss’n of a firearm in the Jane/Finch area yesterday but no gun was found on his person. PC Watts & PSD Nyx were called who tracked the male’s path & located the firearm in a field nearby #SaferTO #GermanShepherd #PoliceDog

Yesterday, a male brandishing a weapon, assaulted a female in the John Garland/Kipling area and fled into the Humber Trail system. Sgt Dickinson, PSD Sunny & members of @TPS23Div tracked down the suspect finding him concealed in the thick brush #K9 #GermanShepherd #PoliceDog

This long weekend, officers responded to an alarm at a nearby store at 7am. They saw a male leaving the store & loading a bag into a parked van. He tried to drive away but was apprehended a short distance away. Great teamwork by @TPSK9 @TrafficServices & PRU. 📷PC Aikman ^lh
