TINUBU IS QUIETLY DOING WHAT BUILT AMERICA AND CHINA — BUT TRIBALISM WON’T LET NIGERIANS SEE IT Let me say this boldly: Nigeria’s economy will not explode because of Twitter arguments… it will explode because of ROADS, RAIL AND LOGISTICS. That’s exactly what President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is aggressively doing — and many Nigerians are too blinded by tribal politics to understand it. My assignment here is to expose you to what is really happening. We love to always see things from tribal lenses so much that we intentionally blind our own eyes from seeing truth in intelligent government actions . 1. America didn’t become rich by randomly doing things— it was INFRASTRUCTURE. In the 1800s, the U.S. economy transformed after the Transcontinental Railroad (1869) connected the East to the West. Cost of transporting goods dropped massively. Oil, agriculture, and manufacturing scaled across states. Trade between regions exploded That’s how America became an economic giant. 2. China’s miracle was built on roads and rail. China didn’t “wish” itself into prosperity. From the 1990s: Built 140,000+ km of expressways. Built the world’s largest high-speed rail network. Result? Lifted over 800 million people out of poverty. Turned villages into industrial hubs. Infrastructure = economic power. Simple. 3. Now look at what Tinubu is doing in Nigeria (THIS IS THE REAL GAME). This is not politics. This is ECONOMIC ENGINEERING. Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway (700km). Connecting Lagos, Ogun, Ondo , Delta , Rivers , Akwa Ibom and Cross River . Started 2024 Creates a coastal economic corridor for oil, ports, tourism, and trade. Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway (1,000km). Links North-West to South-West. Designed to cut logistics costs and boost trade, agriculture, and national integration Abuja–Kaduna–Zaria–Kano Road (164km+). Critical northern economic artery revived with massive funding injections . Akwanga–Jos–Bauchi–Gombe–Maiduguri Corridor. Connecting North-Central to North-East for trade and security . Bodo–Bonny Road (Niger Delta access route). Unlocking oil, gas, and coastal commerce . Lekki Port / Dangote Refinery Evacuation Roads. Built to move products from Africa’s largest refinery (650,000 barrels/day) across Nigeria . 4. It’s not just roads — rail is coming with it. $2.99 BILLION approved for rail projects (Lagos, Kano, Kaduna). Light rail expansion in major cities National rail corridors under study (Calabar–Maiduguri, etc.) . 5. The money being committed is MASSIVE. Over ₦7 TRILLION approved for road projects nationwide . Hundreds of projects under a national infrastructure drive . This is not “small government activity.” This is nation-building scale investment. 6. Why this matters (many Nigerians don’t understand this part). When you connect regions: Food from the North reaches the South cheaper. Ports in the South serve the entire country faster. Businesses expand across states Investors come in. Jobs increase. That’s how economies grow — not by shouting on TV. 7. The uncomfortable truth Nigerians we nor wan hear be sey, If you remove tribal bias and look at DATA: Nigeria is being physically reconnected. Economic corridors are being built. Logistics cost (one of Nigeria’s biggest problems) is being attacked. But many people are still arguing like it’s a football match. Final truth: Visionary infrastructure always looks “crazy” at the beginning. They called early American rail expansion wasteful. They mocked China’s empty highways in the 90s. Today? Those countries dominate the global economy. Nigeria is at that same moment. The real question is not: “Do you like Tinubu?” The real question is: Do you understand what is being built? If Nigerians drop tribalism and start thinking economically, you’ll realize something shocking: This may be the most aggressive attempt to open up Nigeria’s economy in decades.

BIG ENERGY: I am pleased to announce that NNPC Limited has successfully completed the River Niger crossing of the OB3 Gas Pipeline. Executed 2km beneath the riverbed using advanced HDD technology, this milestone unlocks a transport capacity of 2 billion scf/day—strengthening Nigeria’s energy security, power generation, and industrial growth. It also builds on our AKK crossing success and reflects disciplined execution, innovative engineering, and the unwavering commitment of our team and partner, PCE Nig. Limited. I thank Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his Gas-to-Prosperity agenda, our Board under Chairman Ahmadu Musa Kida, the host communities, and the resilient team at NGIC for their steadfast support and commitment. The OB3 Pipeline links East to West and connects to the Northern corridor via the AKK Pipeline, unlocking over 500 million scf/day of domestic gas. The AKK will supply power plants, fertiliser, manufacturing, and new industries across Kaduna, Kano, and beyond, driving job creation, economic diversification, energy access, and West African exports.

TINUBU DOESN'T HAVE POWER TO CONTROL GOVERNOR: BUT YOU DO. Let’s stop deceiving ourselves. Nigeria is a federal system, not a unitary one. That means power is shared — and your Governor is not a branch manager of the President. - The President sets direction. - The Governors control your daily reality. Now let’s talk FACTS, not emotions: Fuel subsidy was removed in 2023. Why? Because Nigeria was spending about ₦4.39 trillion yearly just to keep petrol artificially cheap. That money was draining the country. What happened after subsidy removal? Revenue EXPLODED. FAAC allocations jumped from about ₦650 billion/month to over ₦1 trillion within months . By 2025, it rose to over ₦2 trillion monthly shared across FG, states, and LGs . In some reports, total distributable revenue even hit ₦3.2 trillion in a year . That money did NOT go to the President alone. It went MAJORLY to STATES and LOCAL GOVERNMENTS. States are earning MORE than ever in history. Some states saw massive increases: Nasarawa: +185% increase Enugu: +94% Anambra, Ogun, others: 50%+ increases . So ask yourself: If money has doubled… Why hasn’t development doubled? Local Government autonomy is being pushed. The Supreme Court ruled that LG funds should go directly to them. Even the President publicly told Governors: “Give them their money directly.” Yet many Governors are resisting. Why? Because control over local government funds = control over grassroots power. Here is the truth.. The President does NOT build your state roads. The President does NOT run your hospitals. The President does NOT pay most state workers. Your Governor does. So what is happening now? Nigerians are: Shouting at Abuja. Ignoring their Governors. Voting emotionally. Forgetting accountability. Meanwhile… Governors are receiving record-breaking funds quietly. And many are NOT delivering proportional development. History teaches us this lesson. In functioning federations like the United States: Citizens hold Governors accountable. State elections matter as much as presidential ones. That is why development is faster at the state level. Nigeria? We blame one man for 36 states. See eh... The President has: - Removed subsidy (freed trillions) - Increased FAAC allocations massively - Pushed for local government financial autonomy Now the real question is: WHAT ARE YOUR GOVERNORS DOING WITH THE MONEY? If Nigerians truly want change: Stop shouting only at the President. Start demanding results from: - Governors - State Assemblies - Local Government Chairmen Power does not fear noise. Power fears ACCOUNTABILITY. My people, I am doing all of this to get so many enlightened. SHARE this post and tell us what you think.

Governor Ododo also paid off all debts in Kogi state and he’s currently building an airport. As a matter of fact, no Governor is borrowing since Tinubu came into power because he made everything available for them.
Tony Ajah@tonyajah

JUST IN: Governor Otti moved Abia’s debt profile from ₦191.2 billion to ₦48.4 billion by paying a staggering sum of ₦142 billion in less than 3 years in office, yet with all the work he’s doing, he hasn’t borrowed a dime. Good governance is not rocket science. You either know what you are doing, or you are busy stealing and lying.

And this is why it is important to know who is responsible for what - know when it’s the president doing rubbish - know when it’s your governor - know when it’s your local government council - know when it’s your senate and house of rep members - know when it is the ministers and commissioners - know when it’s the head of agencies Many of them are getting a through pass cause you don’t even know they are responsible for what you are clamoring for.

As part of our sustained efforts to eliminate open defecation and improve public sanitation across Lagos State, we currently have 1,710 functioning public toilets strategically located across the state for residents and visitors. However, government cannot do this alone. We are encouraging businesses such as filling stations, banks, eateries, and other public-facing facilities to make their restrooms accessible to the public where possible. This collaborative approach will significantly complement government efforts and expand access to sanitation facilities across the state. At the same time, we continue to enforce environmental sanitation laws. Individuals caught engaging in open defecation are being arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law. These measures are necessary to protect public health, preserve dignity, and maintain a cleaner environment for all. Access to sanitation is a shared responsibility. While government continues to expand infrastructure, residents and businesses must also play their part in ensuring Lagos remains clean, safe, and habitable. #CleanerLagos #GreaterLagos

We have received a new set of 24-car trains to strengthen the Lagos Red Line fleet. This will improve capacity, reduce wait times and make daily commuting easier for Lagosians. We remain focused on building a transport system that is efficient and reliable for everyone. That is still our goal.

I agree with it. We need to put an end to it. Saying things like “the man is too humble, he carries his own bag, enters economy flights, cook his own food and serves his guests personally despite being a billionaire” These are very pedestrian and unintelligent conversations. We need to focus on issues around the capacity of presidential candidate to make meaningful policies that affect the daily lives of the people like security, education and economy. We need to start asking questions on things that will be done differently to make Nigeria a country it should be.
Alhaji@yeankhar

“Daddy does not sleep til about 4:30 am in the morning…” That sort of fooling shouldn’t be seen near our politics ever again. We should rise above pedestrian conversations like that as a nation.
