Every time there’s a viral video about monkeys being “impressed” by someone doing an epic trick it’s really just them perceiving the sudden erratic movements as aggression and responding with their own aggression or fear. Furthermore this monkey isn’t covering his mouth because he’s impressed, he’s biting himself as a severe stress response that has likely developed because they are being kept in sub-adequate conditions at what appears to be a kind of roadside zoo
