@MmusiMaimane @CharlotteKhuma3 What we need is a massive focus on the very early grades, including R, instead of all the hype around the matric results. Kids who are pushed through when they haven't mastered the basics are just being set up for failure eventually.

Bagaetsho we need a new minister of basic education. One who is committed to turning these numbers around, not massaging the numbers. The system is failing our youth and is contributing to high levels of youth unemployment. In reality we need a massive reshuffle of cabinet.
