@WmDeanFrench Where is she from? Maybe use something paying homage to that? I’ve had a Memphis (Tennessee), Nash (Nashville TN) and a Rebel (Kiln, MS).

Juan Soto is a punk bitch who really wanted to stay in the Bronx but picked the Mets because his family told him to. Dude watched a 3 minute Yankees hype video that included a half second clip of him striking out, then commented on it. Rent free? Yeah in YOUR head LMAOOOOO
Everything Yankees@eyyankees

Juan Soto comments on the Yankees opening day hype up post on Instagram after one clip shows Max Fried striking him out: “😂😂😂 rent free”

The funny thing about people telling me that the green seats are “a homage to the Polo Grounds,” which is what former Mets VP Dave Howard told WFAN, must have missed the interview that he later gave to ESPN, where he said the green seats were a color choice, so “the palate of the field would extend to the stands.” Almost every single interview after Citi Field opened was a defensive talking point. Fred Wilpon could not believe how many #Mets fans reacted negatively to the Jackie Robinson rotunda or the lack of Mets identity. He was furious, in fact. Fred was so focused on recreating Ebbets Field, he didn’t realize that Mets fans like me, who were born more than a decade after the Dodgers and Giants left, didn’t care about how the marble in the rotunda was the same. If you know me, and know my work, you also know I don’t need a history lesson about NY baseball. But I care more about Mets history, and the Jackie Robinson rotunda was not what we wanted or what we deserved. It could have been the Gil Hodges rotunda, the real Brooklyn / Mets connection. It could have been the Tom Seaver rotunda, but Fred & Jeff did not care for the man literally called “The Franchise” Instead, Bud Selig and Fred Wilpon decided that the Mets should be the team to honor Jackie, who never wore the jersey, never played in Queens and who already had a statue outside of the Brooklyn Cyclones ballpark in Coney Island. Which literally has a Brooklyn Baseball museum, by the way. That’s where the “42” should be, that’s where the tribute to Jackie should be. Not with a team whose only connection to Jackie Robinson was that the owner was a fan when he was a kid. I would have even been fine with a rotunda dedicated to former Giants/Dodgers who had Mets connections like Willie Mays, Duke Snider, etc. Of course, it will never be removed, replaced or relocated in my lifetime. The same media who mocked Mets fans for daring to criticize the Jackie Robinson rotunda would surely demonize Steve Cohen if he ever dared to relocate it to another part of the ballpark. So I will just lament what could have been, what should have been, and politely smile as people try to give me baseball history lessons. I will say it again for all of those who missed it the first time; Citi Field is a beautiful ballpark. I love going there, and the fans are wonderful. But it will never feel like home for me. From Grant’s tomb to Baseball like it oughta be, and Jose, Jose, Jose to Shea Goodbye, Shea Stadium was where I grew up. I’m glad so many of you love Citi Field, enjoy it. It’s an incredible ballpark. I just feel when I’m there, I’m just visiting.

@ericmmatheny where she went wrong was that she wasn't in imminent danger. this is what they'll get her on. i'd agree with you that she felt she was being threatened right there and went into self preservation mode. the selection of the jury- who gets on and who doesnt- will decide her fate

I was in fourth grade during the LA riots when I watched the live newsfeed of Reginald Denny getting ripped out of his truck and getting a brick thrown at his head. Forgive me if I take the more lenient approach to driving through a dangerous crowd.
