70,000 Discord users had their government ID photos leaked last year. Age verification today largely involves collecting IDs and hoping that they never leak…the problem is leaks are inevitable on a long enough time horizon. This is the hidden cost of how most platforms verify age.

V5 is coming up, and it's going to be a good one. Aztec is decentralized, so here's how the next version of the network will be born: - anybody can take the V5 code and deploy it - sequencers will signal to bring it to a vote if they like it - all $AZTEC token holders can then vote to pass it (7 day voting window) - if the vote passes, it can be executed by anyone (after a 2-day delay) We'll be sharing more about V5 in the coming weeks.

I'm spending my time, money, and attention based on the idea that a year from now, (late June 2027) privacy infra in crypto will be a baseline product requirement and the dominant narrative across the entire ecosystem. Every app will either be launching its own privacy features or integrating someone else's. The biggest platforms will start talking about acquiring smaller privacy projects on their biz vertical. Mythos-level models, combined with our new understanding of software security, will accelerate the space in ways we can't fully visualize yet. The future of money and human coordination will be encrypted, permissionless, and unstoppable.
