@stefen_rosner Do you think deboer tries Heineman-Barzal-Holmstrom next year? Just a thought, not sure how realistic it is

#Isles Matthew Schaefer became the first unanimous recipient of the Calder since Teemu Selanne accomplished that feat with the Winnipeg Jets back in 1993.

@stefen_rosner Hard agree, Danny is good but Bednarik is under valued in the isles system. Talked about this the other day, the stat sheet doesn’t back his value/potential. Watching him play live a few times you really see why they took him in the second round.
Zach Lyons@ZachLyons_

@19consecutive Have been talking about him today in a few other replies. Especially with BU’s injuries this season (and his own) I don’t think his offensive numbers represent his potential. Said this to someone else I think he’s a JGP with a better shot and skating.

#Isles Danny Nelson slots in on fourth line. To me, that’s where he’ll be at the NHL level and that’s not a knock at all. I think he’s going to be an extremely effective fourth line C. I look at Bednarik as more the 3C of the future. Great experience for Danny playing in this.

@IslesCave One of the highest offensive ceilings in the draft, they should definitely take him at 13

@Braylon_Breeze I agree Bob and EJ I have also liked a lot this year and EJ has improved a ton confidence wise, might be me being bias as an isles guy but I think Burke and Panger are up there as well. Monaco/Ferraro fantastic. The trio I like as individuals but sometimes the flow isn’t great

@FDaniels86 I think Hroneck would be good but I also think they don’t want to add another forward especially a center. Somehow some way I think Hroneck + Min first + d prospect? and that’s very dependent on if SJ sees a defender potentially available late that they like in the first round

Am i crazy for saying Hronek + Rossi is a basis for the 2nd overall pick? San Jose gets a first pair defenseman with term and a 2nd line center who's right in the age window. Canucks get Stenberg or Reid or whoever they want. Maybe Canucks throw in Minnesota's 1st?

@Braylon_Breeze How do you rank the broadcast teams for this playoffs so far (ik the color commentators rotate but based on their main pairs)? By teams I mean purely the commentators not factoring what networks they are on.

Some people will still look you dead in the eye and say NBC Sports was better for the growth and overall health of the sport.

My Top 15 #Isles Prospect Rankings - May 2026 12. Kamil Bednarik Kamil Bednarik is my #12 prospect for the Islanders. He won't get the fanfare as a top prospect, however, Bednarik possesses a strong foundation and identity. He's a sharp, two-way center that plays defensively like he is 27 rather than an a 19 year old prospect. Bednarik is another one of those players who will get underrated as he has neither an elite scoring talent nor has blazing speed. He's not one of the bigger scorers in the system and he will most likely not be a top-six offensive player. He plays an honest, detail-oriented game up the middle. Centers who are good defenders, kill penalties, compete in physical battles, support the puck and never cheat the game will get a lot of chances in the league. Bednarik had mediocre offensive numbers at Boston University, but that doesn't capture his value. He’s responsible and committed to defense and those abilities his major draw.

@DRIVE4FIVE1 @KennyKaminsky I agree, he reminds me of JGP with a better shot and skating. If he improves in the dot a little I definitely think he could fill that roll in the future as a 3C. He’s been big on the PK for BU this year.

Everything I post, I mean, and I stand behind it. @DRIVE4FIVE1 felt my Top 15 prospects list wasn’t good and suggested I redo it. @ian_LGI16 @theScore Scott Wheeler has him as the number 12 prospect overall in the draft, number 2 LW (Stenberg classed as RW). My personal mock has the isles taking him. Offensive ceiling is probably one of the highest in the whole draft, just a late bloomer literally and figuratively speaking.

@stefen_rosner @TheHockeyNews @michaelost13 Do you think it’s more likely they offer him in a package to get the number 2 pick or to get a good scoring winger if they do opt to try and trade him? My second part to that do you think the additional assets in the package would be too much?

Alex Lyon and Devon Levi next year for Buffalo, UPL helped get them here but he lets in one to many soft ones which disrupts the flow of the team. Can get away with the soft ones during the regular season but no room for it in the playoffs. Cred: @MoneyPuckdotcom #SaberHood
