Was watching a replay of the 2007 US Grand Prix yesterday and it was striking (and shocking) to see how empty the grandstands were. By eye it seems barely half of the grandstands were filled. On one hand it’s amazing how F1 have turned around the situation, but also paradoxical because simultaneously the spectacle of the cars from that era completely trounces what we have today and shows just how much has changed - it’s like watching a different category all together. Can only wonder what could be possible if we returned to that style of car/engine coupled with the attractiveness of modern F1 😩

When we said 'game on' we meant it! Congrats to our @FordMustang GTD team for setting a new record lap time around the @nuerburgring! With the new Mustang GTD Competition, the team shaved more than 11 seconds off our previous lap time - 6:40:835! This lap was driven once again by @FordRacing and @Multimatic factory driver @muellerdirk, but Ford Racing engineer Steve Thompson also drove a lap to a time of 6:49.337 around the ring – which faster than Müller’s original record. Congrats to Dirk and Steve for showing just what the Mustang GTD Competition can do! NOTE: The Mustang GTD Competition will be offered in the future as a special edition, street legal model available in strictly limited, serialized quantities.

The NCAA is expected to finalize an expansion of the men’s and women’s tournaments to 76 teams soon after the completion of this year’s March Madness tournament, per Yahoo Sports' @RossDellenger. Barring something unforeseen, “it will happen,” a high-placed source told Dellenger. The proposal would add eight games to the First Four, with 24 teams playing in an opening round before advancing into the second round.
