So I will try this again so everyone can reply. I want to regain smoothness goals. Yields are minimally optimized for growing season (slide 1). Trueness and speed are fantastic and smoothness is going in wrong direction. What are my actionable steps as a turf manager?

Hope you will join us on our journey back to performance goals for the Harbourside courses as we prepare to reopen. Had to call an audible during closure which got us to double our in-play HOC. We will be dropping heights and tracking the performance metrics over a couple of weeks. One area of interest will be assigning specific HOC's to performance outcomes. Another area of interest will be to see how the performance metrics trend on height change day vs same height mow days. Lastly we will see if we can get to performance goals at a higher HOC. Thanks to our friend @GriffithsJayson for the inspiration. I am sure some other trends will be revealed as well. Pic 1 are the metrics for daily play at Links @LBKCR currently. They will also be our opening day goals at the Harbourside courses. Pic 2 is our baseline at Harbourside right now at double HOC from when we play. Our goals are to be 2.50 or lower on smooth, 0.50 or lower on true, and below .420 on firm. Pics 3 and 4 are some visuals of the lush nature of our putting surfaces now at the high HOC. The hundo is being used for a frame of reference and it is also what I won in skins the other day at Links on Super Juan's smooth and true surfaces.

Played in the member game today. One of my partners was a club champ type guy that belongs to a top 30 club and just played a couple of top 10'ers. He told me club such-n-such has 17 strands of poa on their greens. Must have missed that in turf school. He is a great gentleman who is somewhat archetypal as golfers go. After some platitudes he wanted to know the greenspeed number today. I showed him the attached dashboard, tried to talk to him about the other 3 metrics, and slid in we didn't even mow today. He was mildly interested for a short period then he said "don't you get 15's in the season?" Got me thinking of how much better an already very good @LBKCR has gotten in 14 months of using actionable data generated by tools like the #GS3 ball. The large majority of the members are happy with course, including the low handicap greenspeed hungry golfer. Also, it made me think of what a miss the @USGA had so far this summer. Three Opens at 3 iconic venues and no mention of the value and/or values of smooth true and firm. Can't we just start the discussion that quality greens are largely a result of true, smooth, and firm surfaces? Isn't "A" for advancing the game?
