Amidst the buzz around Project Diamond from @coinbase, and its foray into Real-World Assets (RWAs), it's crucial to highlight the fundamental differences in our approach at @DuskFoundation and the implications of regulatory environments. Coinbase is getting a lot of attention with their venture under the comparatively lax ADGM RegLab regulations. The lax regulatory framework is in stark contrast to the regulations we at Dusk develop for, namely MiFID, MiCA, GDPR and the DLT pilot regime. This isn't just about ticking boxes, it's about investor protection, market stability and long-term viability of the infrastructure. Our focus at dusk is not just on native issuance, but also ensuring that every step we take is fully compliant with EU regulations, providing security for investors and privacy. We're building an ecosystem where privacy is not sacrificed at the altar of compliance, but the same guarantees are given in terms of protections as is the case in TradFi. Crypto is drawn to flashy announcements and quick solutions, but real innovation in the RWA space won't come from tokenizing assets; it's about redefining how assets are created, managed and traded on the blockchain that's built for compliance and efficiency. Besides questions around the regulatory environment, I also have a ton of questions around the solution provided. Great that your user base is KYCd, but anyone can frontrun your regulated trades? Anyone can see what you own? The infrastructure itself could frontrun your actions because they know who is behind which pseudonymous identity? Finality is not really finality because it's a L2 that relies on posting back on the Ethereum L1? Transactions can be re-ordered by the operator? The L2 is not censorship resistant? Who carries the risks here? All these questions are something we at Dusk have thought about carefully, and our whole network is built with solving these question to be regulatory compliant in a jurisdiction that matters, is stable and trusted. #RWA #Privacy #compliance #RegDeFi $DUSK
