a pattern is unfolding. U.S. does market manipulating bs, Iran w/round robin talks, but both r playing chicken. Trump is wagering Iran's oil infrastructure folds, where he can then install his own puppet. Whereas, Iran is waiting until Nov elections. We're all waiting for 0 day

"There's been some slight progress. I don't want to exaggerate it, but there's been a little bit of movement, and that's good," Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Friday. Yeah, who would ever exaggerate progress on Iranian negotiations?

@Rory_Johnston little weird that high-ranking folks in Iran and now Pakistan are contradicting themselves. (yesterday re Iran PM and nuke material, and now today here). One source inside says 'this', a different official says that's not true and that something different is happening

"Pakistan's top military commander, Field Marshal Asim Munir, is traveling to Tehran on Friday in an effort to reach a deal under which the U.S." Or not, 'Pakistan's Foreign Ministry [spox] ... said Friday that he was "not aware of any visit right now" Must be Friday.

@mooseincrisis Did the moose get the drop on this biker, who apparently was pointing a gun at the cameraman in the video?

BREAKING In a story bylined by several of The New York Times’ top national security reporters, including Israel-based reporter Ronen Bergman, the Times reveals a quixotic and shocking Israeli-engineered plan to free Mahmoud Ahmadinejad from house arrest and install him as Iran’s leader. An Israeli strike on Ahmadinejad’s home in Tehran was not primarily meant to kill him. It was allegedly designed to kill the IRGC guards holding him under house arrest and free him. The plan apparently went sideways almost immediately. Ahmadinejad survived, but after the “near miss,” he became disillusioned with the regime-change plan. He has not been seen publicly since, and the Times says his current condition and whereabouts are unknown. Ahmadinejad had recently traveled to Guatemala and Hungary — both countries with close ties to Israel. The article also notes that Ahmadinejad had returned from Budapest just days before Israel began attacking Iran the previous June, and that once the war broke out, he kept a strangely low profile for someone who had spent years presenting Israel as Iran’s central enemy. But damn, yeah. For Gen Xers, who were in their 20s and 30s during that period, I can see how that time would be, I don't know, kind of boring. So, Office Space and Fight Club. They speak to that sense of ennui. Long way round the barn to say that entertainment was gen-x coded

Said this before. I'll say it again. If you were a millennial at the end of the 80s and into the 90s, things were great; lots of freedom, lots of liberty, no helicopter parents because that gen and the one before defeated the Nazees and the Commies. What's left to fear?
Reuben Rodriguez@ReubenR80027912

This whole meme is wrong!! Gen X absolutely loved the 90s. Office Space & Fight Club *were not that popular upon release* b/c they reflected a very small minority’s ennui American Beauty, a movie about BOOMER ennui, was *much* more popular b/c Boomers were 45-55 feeling morose
