@terrytech861 @BDEgameowners I think gameplay wise commander isn’t very difficult… *if* the person you’re teaching has a fundamental grasp on the rules of the game (which they probably don’t). 1v1 just streamlines and simplifies a lot of interaction

@BDEgameowners I don't actually think playing Commander is that much more difficult than modern or standard. The deck building is another monster entirely..

Wotc did this with @BraunDuinIt , @SamuelHBlack & Brad Nelson for ModernHorizons2 and it came out the best set of all time. I don't know if they every did it again, but I'm certainly grateful they did it for MH2. 🙏 #MTG

Pokemon TCG testing as a full-time 9-5 job? that's possible at Creatures Inc, in the office filled with nothing but tables, chairs, and drawers of Pokemon cards 19 playtesters play TCG seven hours a day, five days a week to test new cards before release their entire job is to test Pokemon cards and report back to the designers

Banlist dicorse time hehe. Been playing some no banlist modern on MTGO. Has forsure shifted some my opinions around. Some unban's on monday might be a sick way to shake things up right before modern season. (side note I want VO back for rhinos but LE would be too good🥲)

Paper only players really have a hard time grasping just what MTGO data means and just how much worse the average paper player is versus anyone who grinds MTGO. One of the most eye opening, level up moments you can have as a player is starting to grind online instead of locals.

@dogfoodforgirls Yeah my entire LGS’ weekly standard group decided to collectively sell out and go to modern - we can now get 14 out consistently vs the less than 8 at standard, no one is miserable, and we’re spending the same on decks that dont rotate…
