I've been studying up on how to do a better job of storytelling. It's a critical skill for a startup founder. I came across some interesting advice.
* You know you have a good story if 10 more people can tell the same story with the same impact.
* But, if the story only works when you tell it, it's a *performance*, not a story.
* It's a performance because its impact relies upon you emphasizing just the right things and responding in just the right way to objections, in real-time. Other people can't do it. The narrative only lives in your head.
The goal is to tell a story that's so simple and compelling that other people can tell it and want to tell it too.

@eliast It’s a beautiful chaos. Early days showing the potential for MCP, but what a mess ! Reminds me of the early days of the web.

MCPs are just a whole bag of crap so far. They are being rushed for announcements, but local execution is terrible, hosted ones are rare.
In reality, we are getting a much more smaller subset of the existing APIs and much harder to call than before.
But it will get better. Still skeptical they are good enough or any better for enterprise quality integrations.
Great for hacker and vibe coders.

This old post is even more relevant today.

@101Programmatic hi, thanks for posting this. If I could suggest an edit: Every time you say "Open RTB", I think you really mean "Open Market". SP500+ also runs on the OpenRTB Protocol. It's also RTB inventory.

I am thrilled to announce that @Mastercard is acquiring @recordedfuture for $2.65B. It has been an incredible journey, starting in 2007 when we wrote down the patent application for what became the Recorded Future Intelligence Platform.

@adamheimlich @AdtechGod In the pure/early Search was navigation and drove web traffic growth to relevant content. AI summarization is lifting content , rephrasing it, and driving down web traffic. It’s very different.

@101Programmatic There are many more publishers included in the marketplace.
English

@dxsimmons Thanks for the context! So technically there are more publishers participating in this program?

@dharmesh I found it disturbing as well. Destroying the symbols of art is a bad metaphor, but the part where the little guy gets squished and his eyes bulge out like he was in severe pain was just too much.

I've long been a fan of Apple and their marketing.
But, I found this ad disturbing and very out of character for them.
Am I alone or do others share this sentiment?

Meet the new iPad Pro: the thinnest product we’ve ever created, the most advanced display we’ve ever produced, with the incredible power of the M4 chip. Just imagine all the things it’ll be used to create.

@jbaldassari It’s trying to tell you their charting library is more than 10 years old
