Sources: The Chicago Bulls will add Rex Kalamian, Jonah Herscu, and Blake Ahearn as assistant coaches. Kalamian was an assistant coach for the Bucks, Pistons, Kings, Clippers, Raptors, Thunder, Timberwolves, and Nuggets. Herscu was Portland’s G League head coach and assistant coach for the Blazers and Kings. Ahearn was a Grizzlies assistant coach and San Antonio’s G League head coach.

2 blocks and a steal for Caleb Wilson already in this one. The guy is just everywhere. He doesn’t need to turn into Steph Curry from deep every game to feel his presence.

Keep in mind that progress isn’t linear. There will be nights where Caleb Wilson looks like a future star, followed by games where he struggles. Dailyn Swain, Noa Essengue, Matas Buzelis, and the rest of this young core will all have ups and downs. That’s what development looks like.

Josh Giddey making an All-NBA team means the Bulls have a legitimate star leading winning basketball. Rookie of the Year is an individual award, but an All-NBA season from your franchise point guard changes the trajectory of the entire organization. If Giddey reaches that level, it likely means Caleb Wilson is developing in a winning environment instead of carrying the burden of putting up numbers just to chase an award. Give me the All-NBA leap every time.

@Boo_Diddy I was actually really encouraged by how Noa played in game 1. This was a step back. Swain has shown nothing. None of his skills have translated through two games, but I believe it will get better.

@ZarkTweets Him and Swain not it. Noa plays too nonchalant and Swain hasn't shown any flashes. Its ok to have an off night but he hasn't shown shhh

My biggest concern with Noa Essengue dating back to last year’s draft cycle has been the lack of motor. He simply does not play hard enough for a player with his tools. I want to see him want it more.

Tiago Splitter says Noa Essengue didn’t start the second half because he “wanted more from him.” Noted he had a couple early turnovers, that he wanted more ball handling to start the 3rd.
