@ShopifyPlus @Shopify @tobi I should also mention that we unknowingly covered the duties & taxes for all SG orders under $400SGD throughout the 2023 year due to Shopify not updating their ruleset.

5/5 If @ShopifyPlus @Shopify can't get the duties & taxes calculator right and consistently updated with global de minimis and tax laws right, then they shouldn't offer it as an option. Please address this issue ASAP, as it's affecting all sellers that use D&T calculator. @tobi

🧵 1/5 It seems @ShopifyPlus support isn't very good at reading and addressing emails. I reported a bug with their duties & taxes calculator. Singapore orders no longer have a $400SGD de minimis since Jan 1st 2023. It's now $0. Yet they haven't updated their DDP tax calculator.

Cash Back > Points If you're running ads, you should be doing Cash Back. Ideally with a card that offers 2%. That's an automatic 2% revenue boost. Almost offsets the ~2.9% merchant fees. Forget miles and points.
