@e_n0rma_stitz I agree, but 2 touchdowns… 2! For someone who is likely a top 3 TE in the upcoming draft. Couldn’t even get him his numbers in garbage time? 😂it’s done and over with, I just remember feeling kinda bad for him. But that’s what he signed up for… ik

Can we have a real discussion about baseball? It’s not that it’s too expensive. We just don’t care to make the investment because we’ve decided as a culture, it’s not as sexy as basketball or football. From 5 to 16, I played baseball before my accident. Is it expensive? Sure, but no more than the modern day expenses that parents are paying for other sports. I was a catcher, which is legitimately the most expensive uniform on the diamond. But let’s be honest: I work with children every day. - Those cleats are nowhere near as expensive as Jordans. - Those gloves are nowhere near as expensive as iPhones. - That helmet can’t touch the price of that iPad. - The schedule is no more hectic than y’all having your kids in year round basketball between the school team and AAU. Let’s also be brutally be honest when we say that the kids in the DR playing stickball aren’t getting recruited because of their equipment. As a whole, we abandoned baseball a long time ago. Even with the success of pro dual sports athletes like Jackson, Sanders, and Jordan, we still abandoned it even though the numbers support it being the sport that is the most probable to go pro. 1.2% of Division 1 basketball players go on to play pro 2% percent of Division 1 football players go on to play pro 10% of Division 1 baseball players go on to play pro. Seems to me that the investment is worth it, although pro ball dreams being the primary driver is another issue for another time.

OPINION: The fairest observation of Bethune-Cookman is not that its roster contradicts the HBCU mission, but that it lays bare baseball's relationship with Black Americans at all levels, writes HBCU Sports senior editor Kendrick Marshall.

@NickEden There are levels to pro baseball which make it unique when compared to basketball ball and football. 90 percent of the time being a pro baseball player means you need to have one eye I. Going back for your education or a traditional job.

@TheChiropracti3 @NickEden Accurate. Travel ball without equipment can be anywhere between $1,500 to $7,000 per season. Also, it appears that at least baseball training has no offseason. Local or little league ball is thy way to go if it’s available.

I’ve never seen a drill that’s specifically designed for the RB to get hung out to dry. Impressed.

@CharlottesDad23 @GPAIndiana 90+ disappears on me whenever I watch the MLB guys at a local training facility. I can’t pick it back up until 10’ in front of the batter.

@iJordanMoore Nah. While it is freakin' difficult (understatement), I think a full grown man with average athletic ability could get 15 to 20 hits of an average MLB pitcher.

It’s so funny when people ask a normal everyday person — “if you had 100 at bats in the majors, how many hits would you get?” The answer is zero.
