Netanyahu's criminal trial resumes on Sun. A region-wide ceasefire, incl in Lebanon, would hasten his jailing. If the U S. wishes to crater its economy by letting Netanyahu kill diplomacy, that would ultimately be its choice. We think that would be dumb but are prepared for it.

I have just spoken with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam. I expressed France’s full solidarity in the face of the indiscriminate strikes carried out by Israel in Lebanon today, which resulted in a very high number of civilian casualties. We condemn these strikes in the strongest possible terms. They pose a direct threat to the sustainability of the ceasefire that has just been reached. Lebanon must be fully covered by it. I reiterated the need to preserve Lebanon’s territorial integrity and France’s determination to support the efforts of the Lebanese authorities to uphold the country’s sovereignty and implement the Hezbollah disarmament plan.

The Iran–U.S. Ceasefire terms are clear and explicit: the U.S. must choose—ceasefire or continued war via Israel. It cannot have both. The world sees the massacres in Lebanon. The ball is in the U.S. court, and the world is watching whether it will act on its commitments.

🇵🇰🇺🇸🇮🇷 Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry torched claims that Lebanon wasn’t part of the ceasefire: “Lebanon was agreed upon by both parties to be included.” Their FM Ishaq Dar said the misunderstanding it was excluded "only existed in Tel Aviv and Washington." While Iran’s Foreign Ministry said the White House’s claim it wasn’t included was an “example of reneging on the agreement.” Pakistan is doubling down and calling their ally, the U.S, as well as Israel, liars.

🇮🇱🇮🇹🇱🇧 Israeli forces shot at a UNIFIL convoy with Italian soldiers in southern Lebanon, damaging a vehicle. No injuries. Italy's FM Tajani summoned Israel’s ambassador, and Defense Minister Crosetto called it unacceptable. Now a NATO country is directly confronting Israel over attacks involving UN troops. So now that Iran just caved and agreed to not only open the Strait of Hormuz, but also agreed to a double sided ceasefire, I assume all of those attacking President Trump will admit they were wrong, right?

🚨 BREAKING: 🇮🇷🇺🇸 Iran has rejected any temporary ceasefire with the U.S. Tehran also says it won’t enter negotiations unless strikes stop immediately and guarantees are in place to prevent future attacks. 🇺🇸🇮🇷 A senior U.S. military official just called this one of the most complex special operations missions in American history The details that are emerging are extraordinary. Two transport planes got stuck at a remote base inside Iran after the WSO was recovered. Commanders flew in three replacement aircraft, extracted everyone, and destroyed both disabled planes on the ground to prevent them falling into Iranian hands. The F-15E went down in a region with significant opposition to the Iranian government. The WSO may have received help from local civilians willing to shelter an American pilot while their own government hunted him. The CIA reportedly facilitates exactly this kind of arrangement through a process called "unconventional assisted recovery," making contact with civilians willing to help vulnerable troops survive. So the full picture: a pilot ejected, climbed a mountain, was sheltered by locals who risked their lives, evaded for 48 hours while Iran offered bounties, survived a massive firefight at the recovery site, was extracted on aircraft that then got stuck, required three more planes to fly in, and the originals were blown up on exit.
