@InstantPot I contacted the @InstantPot CS team a week ago btw, quite politely because I'm still a person, and have yet to hear back. So yeah, reiterating do not buy from this company.

Not long ago, @InstantPot had a reputation for quality products that lasted, and were worth the price. The last three things I've gotten from them have conveniently all lasted 13-15 months. Right after the warranty expires, when the company very eagerly washes their hands of it.

@LarAtLarian "We're just using it to explore" doesn't undo the environmental damage. It doesn't change that you're funding an industry which using it to replace humans. It's not about the final product, it's about using it at all. It isn't needed or even beneficial in the moment.

Holy fuck guys we’re not "pushing hard" for or replacing concept artists with AI. We have a team of 72 artists of which 23 are concept artists and we are hiring more. The art they create is original and I’m very proud of what they do. I was asked explicitly about concept art and our use of Gen AI. I answered that we use it to explore things. I didn’t say we use it to develop concept art. The artists do that. And they are indeed world class artists. We use AI tools to explore references, just like we use google and art books. At the very early ideation stages we use it as a rough outline for composition which we replace with original concept art. There is no comparison. I talked about how we use ML here if you would like to know more: gamespot.com/articles/baldu… We've hired creatives for their talent, not for their ability to do what a machine suggests, but they can experiment with these tools to make their lives easier.

@LarAtLarian really disappointed in Larian for using AI at all. i don't care that it's "just a little" because it's hurting the environment and the industry as a whole A LOT. glad you guys aren't directly replacing people with AI, but you're fostering an environment that does.
