The showrunner turned Homelander into Trump so this ending was just Eric's liberal murder fantasy of killing and humiliating Donald Trump. All the left fantasizes about is killing their political opposition, it's the only logical conclusion to being a filthy communist.

The 'no good supe' thing is weird in The Boys show For one major reason The Boys implies that most supes are independents doing hero work but hoping to be picked up by Vought anyway by being seen in their talent pool Like Starlight WAS
