@zbitter Every distance/terrain in every sport selects for a preferred body type and mentality. Just surviving the training for trail 100 miler requires a bigger/tougher build than the delicate racehorses that win marathons on smooth pavement. Sure, he'd be really fast, but...

The way I look at this question is this. There are great marathoners who won’t translate well to the 100 mile, so maybe Kipchoge would or maybe he wouldn’t. BUT! If you take the best 100 marathoners and train them for a flat 100 mile for a year, some will translate, and someone(s) would break 10 hrs.

Well before webcams, I set up a camera at home that I could check on from work to see if my dog was trying to eat poop out of the cat's litter box. If I caught him, I would call the answering machine and yell at him to stop. It worked! We called it the "bad dog cam".
