@Oddernod A couple years ago when I was trying to figure out what I wanted to focus on artistically, I looked into Animate. The consensus then, about 5 years ago, was that Animate would meet this fate sooner rather than later, so I never tried it. How many people actually use Animate?

The people who made the AI McDonald's ad want you to know they put more man hours into it than a traditional production. Like Coca Cola, in their attempt to prove they worked hard, they've instead shown AI is hard to control, still expensive, and uglier. What's the point again?

What’s even funnier is that the production company said they spent more time and effort on this AI ad than on traditional production. So, what's the real benefit of AI here? Definitely not the idea. Did they charge the client more? If not, did they work harder for the same cost?

Seamless transitions are going to be so easy to achieve because of genAI tools that your phone will be able to generate them straight within stock Camera apps to the point that no one cares about them anymore.

@Oddernod Many of the heavy 3D motion design shops around here are going full Houdini, it's just the way it goes when high end 3D increasingly requires more and more sophisticated simulation and Cinema is doing what it can but man... It's got SOME CATCHING UP to do and Houdini is running

@Oddernod I don't doubt the crew they have working on it REALLY CARES about it, but I wish Adobe pretended to care even a little, and gave it some resources, it seems they don't even have access to the amazing AI tooling the rest of the suite has that would be so perfect in AE.
