Mechanistically, tsRNA-Glu-CTC regulates key hepatic lipogenic genes including Srebp2, a master regulator of lipid metabolism. Interestingly, tsRNA-Glu-CTC can enter the nucleus and interact with nSREBP2 to coordinately regulate its own transcription via an E-box motif.
