Crews are working around the clock to keep District roads safe and accessible. • The snow team is addressing over 4000 road miles in the District • Roads are 85–90% navigable by car • Ice hauling operations are underway at the RFK site • New heavy equipment, including Bobcats, is being deployed • Crews are clearing curb corners and intersections to break apart hardened ice, ensuring safer crosswalks and curb-to-curb access Thank you for your patience as we continue addressing the impact of repeated plowing and freezing temperatures.

Due to recent winter weather, some trash, recycling, and food waste collections were delayed. To get back on track, recycling pick-up is suspended for the rest of this week. Here’s what to do: ✅ Hold your recycling until next week. ✅ Most households that normally receive two trash collections will receive one collection this week. ✅ Place green trash bins out on your slide day schedule (1 day later than normal). We’re working hard to resume normal collections by Monday, Jan. 13. Thank you for your patience.
