We are the front line of tourism, working tirelessly to bring the world to our beautiful destinations, with a shared goal of hitting 5,000,000 visitors. Now, sudden and substantial fee hikes: like the addition of 5% to every ticket as gateway fee,make our meticulously planned quotes instantly obsolete. @ceeyemnjeru1 @citizentvkenya @OBurrows Masai mara doubled their fee and gave 6months notice. Nobody hit the streets to refute that. Same to Samburu game reserve. They hiked fees but gave notice. Nobody complained.

@ceeyemnjeru1 @citizentvkenya @OBurrows And nobody refutes that. All we ask for is ample notice to inform our guests. You cannot double fees overnight yet people book months in advance. Thats not how business is done. Notice is always required.

Silvia Museiya: We have said that change is the only constant thing in life. Cost of doing business, cost of production and cost of conservation is not getting any cheaper. We did agree on the new park entry fee and the increase therein. We have a change from the eCitizen to the KWS e-pay and that caused a lot of uproar in the tourism sector and that is a matter under discussion. On the charges, we have heard the cry from the stakeholders and the sector players and we are reviewing to find an amicable solution #CitizenSundayLive
