@brittilina With my first I had pretty bad PPA and PPD, so I was similarly worried that my constant annoyance with the world at the end of my pregnancy would carry over but tbh I just feel so relieved not to be pregnant anymore I don’t think anything could phase me now 😂
English

Idk what happened. In the last few weeks of my pregnancy, I would have periodic occasions of rage. I was worried it would get worse when I was postpartum.
It’s the opposite. My 3yo has been particularly messy, and when I noticed she dumped a bag of chips on the table, I’m just like, “You’re gonna clean that up, right?”
English

@opheliamuses Took me a bit to rewire myself to be OK with a girl when I had my first. I didn’t have any positive female role models growing up and I had no idea how to properly love/parent a girl.
She’s just the best. So silly, so lovable, so cute. Why did I ever worry??
English

@AnneOfTheBooks I’m on baby #2: second child isn’t even here yet and I feel the same way 😂
(We also want approximately six)
English

@thisgirl_isdead Many many women do have real regret and serious heartbreak after an abortion.
Don’t blindly believe either side, please do your research and make an informed decision for yourself. This isn’t JUST about the baby, it’s about you and your soul too. Best of luck to you 🙏🏻

> friend shared the gospel with me at 19
> didn’t take it seriously or think much of it
> got caught up in new age eastern religion
> became a porn riddled, drug addicted, fornicating low life
> blinded by EDM, “free love” culture, and psychedelics
> felt like I was going to die one night bordering on overdosing
> remembered what my friend shared with me years prior
> came under intense conviction that if I died in that moment I’d rightly go to Hell and that my life was hanging in the balance if I didn’t get help
> but had no one around me to help
> made my way to the nearest bathroom, fell on my knees and cried out to Christ for help — I raised the white flag, acknowledged my sin, pled for forgiveness and mercy in that moment, and that, if He spared my life, I’d live for Him the rest of my days
> immediately felt a peace rush over me like never before, my clarity restored and the effects of the drugs immediately vanished
> porn addiction, gone. Drug addiction, gone. Party lifestyle, no longer felt appealing. Had a new hunger for the Scriptures that couldn’t be satiated
> have never been the same since that day. God really does make flowers out of weeds

What's your conversion story?

@oliveegger Ok I only have a 16MO lol but I remember pajama Sam and puttputt really fondly from when I was a kid. You can find them both on Steam (windows or Linux) and they’re pretty cheap since they’re from the 90’s.
English

@thecavemommy I LOVE Huckleberry, but I stopped tracking diapers and feeding ages ago.
I use it to track my 16MO’s sleep still and if I give her meds. These are the only tools still helpful to me 🤷🏻♀️
English

13 MONTHS?!?! Bro I barely even tracked my first baby for like a week & my second baby for 24 hours when I was in the hospital cuz they wanted me too 😭😭 You guys are not okay….. purposely doing things that are extremely stressful and contributing to high anxiety, and then y’all complain motherhood is hard.

English

@ThatRosaryGirl amzn.to/4lCA23X
These ones are more sensitive and work better anyways 👍🏻
English

I cannot emphasize this enough, if you are married and especially if you have irregular cycles, buy the cheap pregnancy test strips and test at least once or twice a month. That way if you’re on any meds that are not pregnancy safe you can get off of them immediately

Also the idea that being "pro-birth" is bad is one of the funniest concepts imaginable
Wow, you got me, I am in favor of humans being born, how will I live this down
Lydia Taylor Davis@lydiataydavis
“You’re just pro-birth.” Well, Karen, if the options are either birth or violently killing an innocent baby, then sure, I’m pro-birth.
English

@tallsnail This is why a lot of parents swear by co-sleeping I’m pretty sure.
For us, we used a standard bassinet and a halo swaddle and I rocked her to sleep and transferred her. Idk if that will work for the next baby, maybe I’ll cosleep who knows 😂
English

Bro just get the Snoo. Try the LoveToDream swaddle. Get the Zippa Dee Zip. You gotta get the Merlin Weighted SleepSuit. Try the arms-up swaddle. Bro just try this heated stuffed giraffe that smells like lavender. You need the baby shusher 5000. Bro just get the MamaRoo.
Bro just stay up to put the pacifier in their mouth every 15 minutes.
Bro you need to wait until 45 minutes into their sleep cycle. Just elevate the head of the bassinet by a couple inches

@smithhmesteadms We have an easement behind our property that’s still full of the local flora.
In the spring and summer it comes alive with lightning bugs every night. It’s truly a lovely sight
English

I see fireflies all the time. I also don't rake the leaves in my yard.
I leave wood piles at the edge of my property.
And the grass grows tall at the back of my property.
Ive seen ao many complaints over the years about fireflies going missing, my question, are people providing them a place to lay their eggs, grow their larva, and survive?
Or are fireflies just missing in places of landscaped lawns and chemical use?
Steve 🇺🇸@SteveLovesAmmo
I’ve genuinely not seen a firefly in at least 10 years. And I live in the Deep South. Used to see them all the time growing up.
English

@ciaobella______ Truth be told, I got extremely lucky.
I’m seeing someone at Limitless Therapy and Wellness. They moved into the same building as my midwife.
I would search for pelvic floor therapy in your area and do some recon on the options around you.
The difference has been night and day.
English

@Zoee_Boxx How did you find a PF therapist?? I’ve been recommended to see a PT by my Dr. I could definitely benefit from strengthening my PF 😅had no idea your PF could cause sciatica flare ups but makes total sense!
English

@ciaobella______ Recently been seeing a pelvic floor therapist (NOT physical therapy for the pelvic floor, an actual pelvic floor therapist) and she’s been helping me with exercises to strengthen the surrounding muscles and relieve the pressure and tension in that area. Would recommend 👍🏻
English

@abbythelibb_ Actually reporting to my husband what I got done helps me feel validated for recognizing my OWN work as valuable.
Also he tells me “good job babe” and that’s nice 😂
English

YES! Invisible labor, silent sacrifice, and secretly nursed martyrdom are CHOICES. You can just give your husband a proud report of what you accomplish each day. You can just communicate you decided to save the last peach for the kids. You are a grown up. You can just do things.
🌶️@meatypepper
there is no invisible labor in this house my husband gets a run down of everything i did that day bc i love getting confetti and a parade for making the bed and doing dishes
English

@acottagemouse 😪
Well, this won’t apply to my newest infant when she arrives, we got a 5-in-1 car seat.
BUT it should apply to swing naps lol
English

@Zoee_Boxx That’s what I’m thinking bc I haven’t even given it a single thought once since having kids, and they’ve napped absolutely fine in their car seats and I’m not a psychopath so…
English

@moogantaylorr Our bodies don’t always cooperate with us. It feels like the most defeating thing, like you’re letting down your baby even though you’ve done everything you can.
Truthfully you’re doing the very best for him.
Your body may not be doing what you want, but you haven’t failed ❤️
